Great vid Lee. Think you maybe spent some time on production, especially that last sequence, and it has come out really well. Also your phone is taking sharp pics and video. I think you got lucky not having too many people wandering through. It’s starting to get a bit busy now in that big Forest on the south coast. Really glad you enjoyed your overnighter down in my Manor. You’ve captured the feel of this place perfectly with your video and pics. Sorry about the bugs. Unfortunately people don’t always know it is a bit boggy around here most of the year and boggy = buggy 😁 Nice one Lee! - ATB, Mark 👍
@BurtonOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, TBH I didn't spend that much time post production, I always leave a pile on the cutting room floor, but as I didn't actually film that much it was fairly easy, I normally spend a few hours on a wild camping vid. My new phone is excellent I must say it's the Samsung S20 FE edition, its a little closer to my face than my last one and that's my only criticism 😁😂🤣 It's always buggy in woods this time of the year but I had about 40 bites on my arms and still itching now!! Yes it's very boggy in parts in that forest so the mozzies love it there... there were some big old wood ants too. Loved it though, defo be back at some point. Thanks for watching as always. Lee

Hey there from the east coast of the US. Just subbed to support a fellow KZbin vlogger and hiker out there. I love watching hikes from all around the world. KZbin collab hikes are so much fun. Being around others that understand you setting up shots and speak your language is the best. Loved how Steves tent opens up in the front. That's nice and spacious for a vestibule. Is your shelter like a bivy? Very interesting. I've seen hammocks but I don't think I have ever seen your sleep system with the big net like that before. Looks like you guys had a great time! Looking forward to following along with your future adventures!
@BurtonOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for the watch, hammock use in the UK is not as popular as it is in the USA, we have limited supply here and rely on a few UK manufacturers, the DD hammock I used is with a bug net attached so all I did was attach the bug net to the ridgeline and then spread the hammock on the ground with my sleep mat and sleeping bag inside... works as a bivvy bag with a bug net... I love all sorts of camping and try to do different set ups so I don't get bored. Lee
@RVAHikerGirl3 жыл бұрын
@@BurtonOutdoors I love this idea Lee! Honestly its brillant! I am back and forth if I want to try a hammock and to be able to use it like this for more back support if I don't like a hammock is something I have never thought of! You are a genius, no really! I need to spread this idea on to my fellow hammock friends in case there is not strong enough trees around when they are camping and backpacking. So glad I found your channel!
@BurtonOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
@@RVAHikerGirl Exactly 😉 I have a love hate relationship with hammocks, so a fall back position is this, especially if needing to camp where there may not be trees strong enough for a hang... you can attach the ridgeline to two bushes or two small trees if needed, put the tarp over the top as normal and just rig the hammock on the floor 👍

@BurtonOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
It's a great track Anthony..it was playing in my head as I was setting up so used it in the vid. I'm more of a social camper than solo so I love meet ups. No ticks spotted on this trip, I've only had one so far and I didn't spot it for a day or so... hidden on my inner upper arm... I always check when I come home now, they tend to crawl upwards for some reason so always check armpits, neck etc.
