I love all this color w/c, acrylics, pastels. I’m looking outside at a dreary, rainy day (8+” so far), so your video just perked me right up, plus you made me laugh. All is not lost; I still see yellows, gold & green on the trees out of my craft room window, as well as the red, blue & white of the cop cars as they pull speeders off the main road onto my street. Now there’s a color palette challenge! A big ol’ hug to you, Denise 🤗

Hi Denise I am on vacation in Hawaii right now and as I am touring and walking around I am seeing so much more color than I think I have ever seen, or since doing color pallets it just means more to me. All the greens and pops of reds, oranges so lovely, then we went to the lava and saw all that black so so black and there would be a bight yellow or red flower popping out with green leaves just gorgeous . I am taking lots of pictures and will try some color pallets when I get home. I haven’t even mentioned the ocean colors, oh well you get the picture. Thank you for helping me open my eyes to colors of the world.

Dang girl 🎉 I absolutely love this piece!!! That stencil, I NEED….I think it could become my favorite 😍. Okay, so all the while I was watching I kept thinking about a trip we took several years ago to the Oregon Coast because I wanted to photograph Cannon Beach. We ended up stumbling upon a kite festival on a nearby beach and holy moly, there were a bazillion kites flying over the beach and ocean and the multitude of color explosions were unreal. This painting reminds me of that crazy fun day of colorful kite watching. I’ll dig out a photo and post. LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!! Thank you for sharing your joyful soul with all of your followers…you always make me smile. 😊

What I like to do with the color cards is that I try to use the same proportion of color as in the picture on the card. Just to add a little extra challenge!!! 😂 Btw, I love everything that you do!! 🤩

Denise this is so vibrant and colourful,I love these more organic abstract pieces,sometimes a wooah! Moment with scary colours can give an amazing final piece.This has a lyrical quality to it as well,the mark making brought it together.(Matt) p s sometimes a crazy palette can be fun to paint with and push us out of our creative comfort zones

I loved this video, because as I returned to previous paintings in my current art journal to add things I felt they were missing, I pondered asking you, Denise, if you ever return to a painting to add more, and right here during my cup of tea you answered my questions of moments before! It was fun! This end piece says city-scape to me! The yellow in the middle bottom is the street and the rest are skyscrapers! Wonderful!

One of my favorite things to do is to mix purple and yellow to get that delicious brown and it’s the only way to get that color. Love this palette and the finished piece is (as usual) amazing!
