They kept referring to gorillas as King Kong without mentioning that they are anything like the movie monster, but are gentle giants and are of no threat to humans unless provoked.
@wildnatureus2024Ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing your great insight! 🦍 That's right, gorillas are actually "gentle giants." They live peacefully and rarely pose a threat to humans unless they feel provoked or threatened. Calling them "King Kong" can lead to misunderstandings about their true nature. In the wild, gorillas are highly social and calm, only defending themselves when necessary. Thanks for helping raise awareness about this! Hope you continue to support the channel! 😊🌿

this video is super informative and beautifully shot! i really enjoyed the insights on the wild life, but honestly, i wonder if depicting the area as just 'King Kong's lair' oversimplifies the rich culture and history of the congo. it seems like we're getting more of a fantasy spin rather than appreciating the real struggles and triumphs of both the animals and the people living there. what do you think?
@wildnatureus202412 күн бұрын
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughtful insights! 🌿 I’m glad you enjoyed the visuals and the information about the wildlife. You make an excellent point about the portrayal of the Congo. The "King Kong’s lair" reference was intended to highlight the raw, mystical beauty of the landscape, but I agree that it can come across as a bit fantasy-like, potentially overshadowing the rich cultural heritage and the real-life struggles faced by both the people and the environment here. The Congo is not only home to incredible biodiversity but also to communities with deep, meaningful histories. 🏞️🌍 Your feedback is a valuable reminder to strive for a more balanced narrative in future content, one that honors both the wilderness and the human stories of this unique place. The Sahara once resembled the Congo......it became a desert beginning about 5000 some odd years ago due to climate change not brought on by man. Climate change has been continued since after the Biblical Flood.
@wildnatureus202420 күн бұрын
That's right! The Sahara was once a lush area with vegetation and an ecosystem similar to tropical forests. Scientists have confirmed that around 5,000 to 6,000 years ago, the Sahara began to dry out due to natural changes in Earth's climate cycles, something we've observed throughout Earth's history. These shifts back then weren't caused by human activity, but today, human influence is creating even larger climate changes 🌍. Thanks for sharing this fascinating info! @LightFoLLowTHEАй бұрын
Lol
@wildnatureus2024Ай бұрын
It’s understandable that certain terms can evoke different feelings for people. The term "Congolean" may have sounded unusual or uncomfortable because it isn’t the standard demonym used to refer to people from the Congo. Typically, "Congolese" is the correct term for individuals from either the Democratic Republic of the Congo or the Republic of the Congo. The use of a non-standard term like "Congolean" might have come across as less respectful or less familiar, which could be why it felt off. It’s good that you shared your feelings-discussing these nuances helps bring awareness to how language impacts us. 😊

So you say that darwin and his followers are the descendant of Bonobo ..😅! Ok So the bonobo we watching here decided not to evolve to darwin? Wonder why
@wildnatureus202425 күн бұрын
Interesting comment! 😄 Actually, Darwin and later scientists proposed that humans and apes (like bonobos) share a common ancestor from millions of years ago, rather than one species evolving directly from the other. Over time, each branch evolved in its own direction, so bonobos retained many unique traits, while humans developed along their own path. That’s why we can coexist today and observe each other through a scientific lens. Thanks for sharing this unique perspective! 😊🧬
@jackshell809120 күн бұрын
Humans (homo sapiens) are not direct descendants of bobobos (pan paniscus), rather we share a common ancestor. It just so happens that the split/divergence of humans, bobobos from the common ancestor was the most recent. Hope this helps!
