Aye Chandler, just wanted to say thanks to your videos, my girlfriend has been able to over come her fear of snakes. She instead now respects the animals, rather than simply fear them. Blue Fire, a few years ago I was at my parents’ house when my stepmom came running in the house screaming. She thought she saw a coral snake in her tomato garden. Being Florida Man, I naturally went out to investigate. I couldn’t find it. So I got on the DOC’s website and started looking up snakes native to our area (they don’t live in FL). Turned out to be a red milk snake. That’s when I found out my stepmom has ophidiophobia. Or a fear of snakes.

Blue Fire, true, but I’ve also heard that coral snake venom, while the most toxic in North America, is rather slow acting. Unlike an eastern diamondback you actually have time to get to the hospital before having any serious reactions from the venom (other than pain at the bite site). That’s what I’ve read anyway. I’m not sure how true that is.

Coyote finds a coral snake, reminds the audience of his epi pen, gets his snake hook, pins it, cautiously grabs it's head, sweating bullets as he does his bit, quickly releases it to avoid a tag. Chandler finds a coral snake, grabs a wild leek to initiate snakenapping, free hands the bugger, give it a chin rub, and then pokes its tail as a goodbye. XD

Depending where you live there they're pretty common, don't give up. Go to a swamp or woodland area and walk slowly scanning everywhere and you'll find one in no time.

Chandler, i don't think you mentioned if the slug and snail eating snake was venomous or not, so is it? it has a really nice coloration and patterning. that eyelash viper is amazing!! I can recommend a great mascara for her. LOL. I learned something new!! I always thought coral snakes were colubrids.
