Such a lovely special episode! Thank you so much, Susan. In 2007 I did some WOOFING on various Irish farms. I worked a lot in polytunnels. My favourite one was the one with huge pea plants. It was like a green saloon. Love that memory.

Hi Eva, that sounds fun, a great memory! Tom & I've chatted maybe about getting WOOFers in years to come if our smallholding expands. Seems a good organisation!

What a lovely video. So good of St Patrick to give you a nice sunny day. ☘️☘️ I’m in Australia, have a number if Irish ancestors, have visited Ireland a few times & was all booked & paid for another visit last year but of course that didn’t happen. 💚

@@wildcottageknitting Thank you I got 4 balls of Irish DK, Rowan, LIght Charcoal and Jacob. Not sure what I'll do with it. I will wait until I receive it , get the feel of it and colour. I guess it won't look like the colour on the screen. But looking forward to receiving it. I have never bought wool directly from a mill before nevermind an Irish Mill. Thanks to your promotion of all things irish. Gudonya! as they say in Australia!

OMG all that greenery in your tunnel and all those beautiful green yarns ☘️☘️☘️🌱 your daffodils are gorgeous!!! What zone do you live in? This was fun!😄
@wildcottageknitting3 жыл бұрын
😀 Glad you enjoyed it!! We are in zone 9a, it doesn’t usually get below freezing for a very long time, so the polytunnel stays pretty green all winter with the hardier vegetables. Of course our summers don’t get nearly as warm as most zone 9a places, usually we have cool summers, a high of 30c even just a day or two would be quite unusual. So the tunnel is super helpful in summer too for veg that likes it warmer than 20c, which is like a hot day for us 😂

I also love all your greenery. Your "garden" looks great! You asked about easy tank tops... I am not sure what size/ weight your Corcra yarn is to know if it will fit the patterns I have. I just started making one, the Roxborough Dolman by Courtney Kelley. It is a big square that uses fingering/sock weight yarn. I am on the ribbing at the bottom and so far it looks easy. I'm using 6 colors for my stripes... The other one I think looks pretty easy is the Fiks by Elsebeth Judith. It uses fingering weight yarn and starts at the top so you can always have a shorter tank if you run out of yarn. I have other ideas if your yarn is heavier.
@wildcottageknitting3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Brooke, it's a fingering weight- I forgot to say! I'm thinking with the silk content maybe it will be nice for the bit warmer weather. 🤞
@brookecrytser55283 жыл бұрын
Fingering weight is exactily what the two patterns call for if you like one of them. I am still working on the 5 cm of ribbing. It's only slow because I am slow. If you are comfortable with knitting and purling they will both be easy! @@wildcottageknitting
@brookecrytser55283 жыл бұрын
@@wildcottageknitting Sorry! I think the silk will be so nice! Soft and good for the hot weather. Plus I really like the color.
