What are the pro's and con's of attaching the leg loop to the upper ascender instead? The lower ascender would be closer to your harness as progress capture. Nice video. Thank you.

It is better to have the leg loop attached to the higher one for a better mechanical advantage

Again, you don’t need another ascender for a progress capture. You can get a self braking belay device that does the same thing for a better price and offers more versatility. A great example of this is black diamonds ATC guide for ~$45 online. The lowest I’ve seen it is at REI they have a great return policy too

@@harrisonw1352 One issue with the ATC Guide is that it doesn't lock. I would not trust my life to it.

Much better move to get a braking belay device like the ATC Guide for the same price instead of two ascenders. You only need one ascender

If you want to go up the same way you must have some gears. I guess you can use 2 prusiks (DIY) and save money but then they are slower. Any other faster way will cost you more.

@@ScreamingReel500 not true at all! Having two ascenders is a redundant take on the RAD system and wastes space on your ring as well as the money in your wallet
