I love this channel. I learn new legal terms all the time. Now I know what Capital Felony Treason means :D. When I was a kid I used to debate my parents and elders all the time. My aunt swore I would be an attorney someday. I actually entertained it at one point, but writing software is a lot easier than memorizing a library full of law books ;) I actually worked on courtroom software back in the late 90s. I worked with an attorney and we created one of the first digital courtroom display applications. We had a cadre of workers scanning in documents into a database and then we ran OCR (optical character recognition) to digitize the documents and allow for quick searching. Nowadays everything is digital.

If an attorney walks her own client into felony charges being put on the client, can't he (the client) file a complaint with the Bar association?

I think he can claim some kind of negligence, like how you hear of court cases being thrown out for certain stuff that's the fault of others not the d3fendant, Mike should know lol
@probablynotmyname85212 жыл бұрын
It really depends, if the attorney has advised the client that criminal charges are possible and the client still wants to proceed with a particular path (the dogs are mine and i want to assert that) then the attorney has done about as much as they can. There are still issues of negligence but it will depend on the advice she gave.
@lisanoonan29472 жыл бұрын
In a previous clip the judge mentions that this attorney isn't a criminal one she is a property attorney in divorce cases. She seems way out of her comfort zone she's getting her client in more hot water each time the docket shows this case. She calls a known liar (the daughter) in as a witness which goes to show she is continuing to damage her clients credibility. If this isn't an example of "ineffective counsel " I don't know what is.
