What a cool way to live off the land, to be able to identify edibles that grow in your own backyard! As we were relocating our beehives I noticed our dead tree was giving us a gift after all our hard work.

We went mushroom picking every early spring in the forest which was just a few miles away or other parts of the county make a day in the woods friends and family. We mostly looked for morrel mushrooms. If we hit a good patch there would be enough for 2 or 3 family's to share . I had to soak them over night with salt water they are very buggie. Once that water came out clear then I would let them dry on paper towels then cook them up for dinner. They were so good. Yours looked really great. I wish I could have had a taste. I've never tried them. I always fried ours as well. Thankyou for this video about your mushroom find. Really awesome.

Hi Denman Family Great video! Love ❤️ your recipe Buddy, but I'd have to bake them. My friend's husband wouldn't agree w you re never too much garlic opinion. Apparently if you have tons of it, the garlic smell will come out of your skin. When my friend has too much garlic (way beyond!), she has to sleep on the couch. It's just too much for her husband! Glad the kids liked them. Good snack food. I put my store bought mushrooms in a sunny window before eating so they'll absorb Vitamin D. We have these growing on dead trees by our creek, but I never knew you could eat them until now. Thanks for the info!

As a mushroom eater my mouth started watering before you had them removed from the tree. With the spices you added they had to have been delicious. Another well done video!
