Guys, you have no idea how hyped I am for this game. This is perhaps one of the greatest games on the SNES and my most favorite. And now 22 years later there's new content (of course, I only started playing this like 5 years ago). The gameplay and music are all phenomenal. I highly recommend this game to anyone. From the original, here's what new that I found according to the video and research: - 16:9 aspect ratio (as apposed to the standard 4:3) - 4 player mode - 2 new characters (bullet and doris) - New weapon (Tesla gun) - increased frame rate for particle effects (explosions, fallout, etc. don't look choppy) - replaced sounds (some explosions sound realistic) - fly around powerups (especially in boss rooms, you could not get powerups) - paper cash (only ore and gold bags existed) - MORE STAGES (original only had 6, excluding bonus stages)

CorporealAegis No problem! I kinda wanna suggest two things (or if you wanna wait for Reloaded, then you can do that): 1) Tryout the original SNES version on the eShop or via emulator (do hard mode for full experience) 2) Watch a playthrough (i.e. GameGrumps)

Nah. With rotoscope animation 2D can look fluid, but otherwise I prefer 3D graphics in 2D-style gameplay.

Rotoscope 2D animation is almost always ugly anyway. Games like Skullgirls are super appealing to people because of their hand drawn smooth 2D art style.

"Ahead of its time"? Uhhh "Cabal" wants to have a talk with you. It's a dope game, no doubt, but is basically a (really good) Cabal-clone. (There's another title that pre-dates even Cabal but didn't see the same level of success).

Being honest, Wild Guns have such craziness and that badass humor vibes that make it unique. I mean, Cabal is just another generic "rambo" wannabe shooter, while this, my friend... I mean, FUCKING GIANT ROBOTS MEETS WESTERN SPAGHETTI. If not for the mechanics and everything introduced in Cabal, Wild Guns is ahead of its time for being an unique experience, design-wise. It feels like a saturday morning cartoon with all that stuff from a 90's anime. WG could be translated as "Michael Bay done right". I don't even think those triple-A producers who spent millions of dollars trying to make their games into interactive action movies with no substance, just a mere excuse to show off fancy graphical advancements while calling it "top-notch realistic gameplay", would come as close as to make something like this.

That's some kick ass sprite art. Somehow i cant notice what have they changed from the original. The characters look a bit smaller but I can't tell why. Perhaps it's because i haven't played this gem in years.

Looks awesome. Really like the slightly touched up backdrops with the added detail and parallax layers and the new boss sprite. Please put in an option to turn off the glow effect though. ;)

GOTY at E3 2016. I don't care that there are more ambitious. technical, or more "bigger deal" games @ E3 right now. This is was, along with Berserk Musou, one of the least-expected announcements. Not only that, but this isn't just an emulation like other "SNES-to-modern" ports like Super Star Wars, there's alot of effort to put extra stuff into the game, from big things like REAL widescreen that doesn't crop or stretch like lots of other remakes, extra characters, & new weapons, to smaller things like more animation for the protagonists (the idol animations) or remaking an entire boss just so it isn't stiff like the original (and did I see a new attack?) Really looking forward to this game.

I wouldn't hold my breath as Natsume haven't released anything on Steam **yet**, but one of their horrible looking mobile Harvest Moon (Seed of Memories) will get a port this winter. So, it's _possible_ at least. There's a rumor that Valve encouraged them to port their games to PC for some time now, especially Rune Factory/Harvest Moon, but they've been acting coy... Which makes it doubly funny when Stardew Valley, an indie game inspired by both sold over a million a couple of months ago. So there's probably a better chance of an indie developer making a Cabal clone, which sells like hotcakes before they port it. ;)

The original Wild Guns is literally a port of an SNES game, you won't be able to play online unless you use netplay through an emulator.

***** Turtles in Time remake suffered from the fact that it introduced a completely new 360 gameplay instead of 2D gameplay that old Turtles in Time had. That, plus completely different sound track which would have been all fine and good if they could have captured the mood of the original. What do you think a remaster is? What you're asking for is literally a remake. Anyway, there's a good chunk of new stuff in there, including that big mecha boss being almost totally new. Compare it to the SNES original - it's all new sprites and lots of new attacks.

They've also got two more playable characters, and have mentioned on their site that there's going to be new levels. Oh, and they've zoomed the camera out and enabled four-player co-op. So yeah, it's a lot more than just the SNES version, but it's using that as the foundation.

So they are re-releasing the SNES game for new systems. It looks good but so did it back on the SNES when it came out 1995. It would be have been better if they released an arcade collection but if this is more than $10 it pretty lame.

I made the same comparisson and the assets are the same, only expanded for Widescreen and with some new light and alpha effects. The assets are adapted to display in 1080p, but are all the same, the same stair step on sprites and all. It don't have dithering too, so it looks cleaner. I've already see this in some indie games, but can't remenber one now...

The large mecha boss is completely redrawn and has way more animations. In the SNES version only his hand moved. Explosions during its defeat are redone too.

There's no hope for this game! I own a PS4 and this is why most people call it the "RemasterStation 4" and i agree, where is the real games? If i buy Uncharted 4 then there will be no more games for me on the console and i wasted my money! If its for playing an Snes game i play it on Snes! On the other hand, something like Shadow of the Beast is a real remaster for an real old game that cames with the original for nostalgic purposes, this i agree, its really redone from the ground up!
