End up in a mess like the hog last week that she didn’t want to track and I went by myself and didn’t bring a knife or bow and the pig was still alive so o caught it and stabbed it with my broken arrow. Yeah. Like that kind of mess

Exactly, that kind of mess. All in great fun your family reminds me of mine when I was a lot younger. My wife was never surprised when I would come home in January, in my underwear cause I fell into duck swamp and liked to froze. Or killing a wild pig in July while fishing cause he was there and the shot presented itself perfect. I’ve done the same, it’s a great way to live. I’m going to go on your website and order a tab. Every hunt is unique in its own. Sometimes you need a long hold. Most times not.2-3 seconds is good. If an animal is coming into the shooting window and he pauses ,you know that 6th sense? You might need to hold. Most hunts they give you opportunity to draw, anchor, aim,shoot. That's it. Good job Mark. Nice pig!

I think some traditional bowhunters over-bow themselves making holding at full draw almost impossible. Drawing before the animal can see you is critical in getting the shot. I call it an approach draw. You are drawing, holding, and aiming at the spot you are anticipating the approaching animal to pass thru, while its vision is blocked by terrain or vegetation. My bows are 35 to 45 pounds. I have a 53 pound but it is too much for me to hold very long. It may be more powerful, but not practical for hunting, at least for me. Lighter bows require heavier arrows for penetration. Mine are 600 plus grains.

The bow is a centaur archery chimera longbow. 43 pounds at 27 inches. Arrow is a poc cedar arrow 55-60 spine with a 190 grain centaur short mag non vented broadhead. Approximate total arrow weight 500 grains

You do you in terms of shooting; it appears you're not having a problem killing animals. However, I would question the string line running through the woods. One would think that denotes a property line, which then leads to other questions...

It is a property line. I ran a string to get figure out my exact boundary line but I also have permission to the property next door.
