During the war in Croatia (1991-1995), soldiers were helped by horses to climb together to the highest peak of Velebit, Biokovo, etc. Horses carried ammunition, weapons, medical supplies, material for bunkers, etc. After the war, the army released them (some 30-40 horses) so that by today that number would rise to between 600-1000 horses. Who live freely in the mountainous areas of Croatia. And they are protected under Croatian law. They belong to the same category as wolves, bears, lynxes, rare birds, etc.

LOL, I may have just learned Croatian for, "Don't eat the car." (Or some language. 😄) Great video! And yes, they don't look terribly feral. It'd be pretty rare for a feral horse to be that relaxed about people touching them, even if they'd gotten used to people from lots of encounters like this. Plus there doesn't seem to be a stallion with them; unlikely for a feral herd. Though it's equally true any mare will usually be nervous of even familiar people around her foal! Luckily no one got kicked, the way some were blithely walking behind them. Another sign they're probably not feral.

This is why you don't feed wild animals, they get too close to humans and someone might get hurt. Also honking your horn should send them running far enough to get away. Horses are massive creatures capable of severe damage . Stay safe and don't be dumb y'all

I fed different wild animals so far: lions, leopards, cobra. etc. Non of them got hurt by that. But, anyway, thanks for the tip. (Just kidding...Don't take my comment seriously)

The horses 🐎 are not wild. They are no thamed but familiar with humans. Horses are very curious, and the reason they lick the car taste of minerals can be. Approaching a horse 🐎 can be dangerous if you don't know about horse behaviour. Always be careful when approaching horses 🐎. Horses 🐎 are beautiful and majestic animals. My regards

I don’t think they are wild :) too well groomed and used to humans to be wild. Perhaps they escaped from their home, or they just love on this land and the owner owns the land!

@@Dboy10810 you apparently don't know horses, nor how dangerous they can be, especially with new babies. I know ppl who've been killed or injured seriously by their own horses. A friend of mine was kicked in face by my own horse. You must KNOW horses to approach them and NEVER so casually. They are the most dangerous animals on earth because they can strike out in every direction. I watched a veterinarian be kicked across a pasture and one get run over after being carried out of a stall and those were tame horses!

this man got very lucky cuz some of the horses was getting agitated from him hitting the car and stuff u can tell when a horses ears pin back if a horse looks u in the eye with ears pinned back doesn't change them u need to back tf off slowly this man was very lucky i personlly would never get out of the car and do that was told by a native guy its dangerous doing that wwith wild horse cuz they can turn on u ina heart beat the alpha male is what u want to stay away from

Hi, I've been following your channel for a long time and everything in your videos has always been spectacular. The sessions are great, the quality is fantastic... this channel is absolutely brilliant and you helped me a lot with the majority of my curiosities about scuba diving, thank you so much, I appreciate everything you do on KZbin, good job! Anyway, I would like to make a suggestion (if it's not a problem for you): I'm convinced that you can add a really funny video on your channel to show us some of the funniest things happened while scuba diving, swimming or even during other water activities, I was thinking of something like a "oops and bloopers" compilation. For example, you could gather all of the times where you or your diver friends get recorded on video during ops time... like a pee time! Once, my uncle, who is a scuba diver too, wrote “I’m peeing right now 😊” on a waterproof notebook while we were diving and it was soooo hilarious and funny that I almost died. He always tells me there are 2 types of swimmers, divers and surfers: those who pee in the water and those who lie. If you want, you could also include those "releasing" moments as small clips in the future videos just to keep having a bit of humor on your channel, you can use both old and new clips, what do you think? Yeah… I know, it could sound weird for your right now, but, in my opinion, it's the funniest thing about divers and swimmers, believe me. When a diver pees in the water, I think they demonstrate to be someone who is not afraid of consequences or to be judged and they just enjoy the moment, no matter what happens. And if you can't tell when someone else does it, well, you could ask them to do a particular sign before they do it, I think it's something that can come out great! I'd be so so happy to watch it, let me know, have a wonderful day!
