My mother loved this song. She died unexpectedly in her sleep. After the funeral my brother, his family and mine drove up to the Grand Canyon to scatter her ashes after we were done and started to drive out of the park my wife says "We should have played her favorite song as you guys scattered her ashes, what was it? Wild Horses by The Rolling Stones I replied. We had some small talk for a few minutes then she turned on the radio and Wild horses started to play. Me, my wife and our two teenagers started to sob uncontrollably so much so that I had to pull over. My brother who was following in the car behind us must have thought that I wanted to say something so he pulls up next to my vehicle rolls down his passenger window but before he could say a word I just turned the radio up. I'll never forget the look of pure anguish he had, You've never seen two grown men cry as hard as we did.We all felt her in that moment she was saying good bye.

In memory of you Terrell Glynn Rogers RIP and there you have it. The perfect ending after all.

To me, this is a song not only about the bittersweetness of a mortal life with the ones we love, but about the mistakes we make, the time we take for granted, the innocence of imperfection, the strength and depth of hope in the face of a life bound to test us, fuck us up and ultimately undo us. It's a song about the things that remain, even after desecration, separation and death. Immortality, and mortality, woven together in this beautiful song. It gently speaks of the bonds of love that stay, even though time together will end. It seems to talk about the whole world, yet always feels so profoundly personal to whoever listens to it.

Thank God they removed the dislike count. Maybe I won't have to see this kind of comment anymore that demands that _every single person in the world_ appreciates the same thing as they do. There's nearly 32 *million* views on this video, and you get your panties in a twist over 7 thousand of them (roughly 2 in ten thousand), many of whom maybe didn't even hit the button they were looking for, or were too young to understand, or demented or whatever. Your perspective (or lack of it) is quite insane.

+John Toothill Jr. I agree! Today's music is loud, hard and a lot of it is yelled with no true meaning or feeling. (my opinion) Bands like The Stones, Zepplin, Doors, Kansas, Heart, Journey, Boston, Alan Parson's, Santana....they ALL gave use great music. Songs with words that made sense and could be felt by the heart! lol We went from that music to head banging, heavy metal, rap, etc... I got NO feeling for any of that! lol

My step grandpa come out of retirement for the WWII draft, he was too old to sign up, he was too old to serve when WWII broke out. Thank you for your song. I learned to mount real horses @ South Mountain, Phoneix AZ. Not only did I Learn to mount without assistance, by the time I was 16, the horses "liked" me. Keep up the good work.

Nothing I can write or say...can take away the pain... Wild wild horses...our hope is, we'll ride with them someday...

The last line always crumbles me to pieces "we'll ride them some day". The Rolling Stones.

I haven’t been able to stop loving a man from 35 years ago , he married another and I can’t stop thinking about him even though I have prayed for decades for God to heal me. I love you Brad , blessings to you my friend!!

Song that never gets old no matter the time that has past or the amount of times you have listened to it.
