Wild Moose Encounter Near Grand Teton || ViralHog

Occurred on November 2, 2020 / Wyoming, USA
"Wild moose in Wyoming, outside of Grand Teton National Park. The moose were rutting and moving around a lot throughout the day. They were sparing and quickly turned and moved toward us. As you see in the video, I didn’t have time to completely roll up the window before they were really close. We love wildlife and always maintain a safe distance from wild animals. This was a random but amazing encounter. We honked the horn to scare them away (to not encourage human interaction since they are wild animals) as soon as they were in front of our car and not directly beside our windows and facing us. This video is from November 2020"

To be honest I’d be surprised if you weren’t scared. They can be incredibly docile if you are still and calm but the second something startles them, it will change in an instant.

@@Danielson12o8 they would most likely attack. The littlest movement will set them off. You would have to be extremely calm for them to be calm around you. They’re extremely antagonistic creatures. It’s really hard to predict what they are going to do.

@@seetha7 i never understood how can a creature with no sharp claws or teeth have someone so startled. every time i see moose videos people in them seem so freaked out, they definitely have huge antlers and are huge but i don’t see how they can hurt someone. I’d be more scared of encountering a grizzly

@@r.e.e.2.e The reason why moose are so dangerous is because they are incredibly aggressive . They will attack you and pummel you to death. They don’t need teeth to kill you. You sound incredibly ignorant with the statement you just presented. I agree that a grizzly bear is most likely more dangerous, but to say that a moose isn’t dangerous is asinine. You are completely ignoring the size of the animal plus their aggressiveness. I truly don’t understand how you don’t see them as dangerous. You literally stated why they are dangerous. They have antlers, and they are huge. How can you be so ignorant?

@@seetha7 why do y’all always assume someone is being ignorant when im asking a genuine question. y’all assume everyone are animal experts 🙄 there are people who have survived animal attacks, from things far more dangerous than a moose thats why i always wondered why people are afraid not every big animal is or capable of killing a human being if the circumstances were in they’re favor. I compared it to the grizzly bear because at least with a moose if your a forested area you may be able to escape one by climbing a tree and they have way less ways of killing you which betters your chance of survival. i’m just interested why people in a 4,000-7,000 ton truck is afraid of a moose when it has no way of hurting them

They tear apart wolfs with their front legs, their "nails" are ver big and sharp...one kick can open your stomach + this big thing they have on their head.... and can even defend themselvs against bears. They look gooffy but they can be lethal. Just think... they dont run so fast ,so they can not outrun wolfs... so how they survive? By being extremly aggressive when threatened.

I can fully attest! I pulled off the trans Canada hwy in Saskatchewan somewhere at around midnight to take a leak. Got out, went to squat, and out nowhere, got bum rushed by two moose that had been grazing nearby that I couldn't see. It's probably the most scary 5 seconds of my life! I literally launched myself back into my vehicle and got the hell outta there!

@@FirstLast-gv1zl no they don't. Yes, occasionally a wild animal may react to you thrashing through where they make their home, but in general they do nothing or avoid you. I see people say this same shit about geese. 99% of the time they don't do anything, but everyone tells the same myths and wives tales. People have literally documented grizzly bears and other bears for years, getting extremely close before actually being killed. The likelihood of you roaming around minding your own business only to be attacked by a moose are astronomically low. Cool story though.

If you're scared stay in your big climate controlled truck crankin your hog farm boy, and keep the ridin to summer time. Cold seems to get your type cranky and jumpy.
