Oh okay, right on. Hmmm, see I can see why you might compare the two and recognize their obvious influence that they take from Talking Heads, for sure has that 80's dream pop/synth'y vibe, but I feel like they put enough of their own/modern spin on it to make it interesting and enjoyable, kinda like the band Foxygen does with their influences from the 60's/70's (they do an even better job of it though). You listened to them at all? /watch?v=vNXZd303TjQ Yeah, the Deerhunter song is quite nice

well, you have confused me a lil bit by putting beach house in a electronic genre...? they are dream pop/indie rock. i dunno, labeling bands into genres often can be more confusing than helpful, lol. but anyway, yeah some (wilco, malkmus, spoon) of those i am a bit familiar with...mostly wilco. have you gave any other of wild nothing a chance? their latest EP, Empty Estate is some of their best stuff imo. this song in particular i really enjoy, /watch?v=b20SV7v0fzE

Richard Swift, Elbow, I Am Kloot, Deerhunter, Wilco, Stephen Malkmus & Spoon to name a few. I wouldn't really call any of those generic and you're likely familiar with more than one of them I would guess. I had never heard Beach House until just now. As far as that vein of music goes, I like Brazilian Girls & Bonobo as well some older stuff like Neu! & Brian Eno but I can't say I'm real hip to electronica. I'm an old fart.

Beach House sounded heavy on the synth and drum machine, thus the electronic designation. I liked it, BTW. The Wild Nothing stuff still isn't doing for me. Sounds like a regurgitation of this: watch?v=pVrVY540xdc If I could pinpoint it to one thing I'd say it was the singing. I'm guessing you might like this Deerhunter cut: watch?v=1mBSOtdOjoc

welp, agree to disagree i guess....that is some lovely musicianship from the milk carton kids as well. just a totally different style from wild nothing. wild nothing stands atop a plethora of generic pop/indie rock that is out there these days. if ya cant appreciate it...oh well i guess. haha...so is there any bands in this vein of style that you do appreciate? beach house perhaps?

If generic chord progressions, gutless lyrics and flaccid musicianship is your bag, have at it, but you can't convince someone who knows better. Here's one NPR Music clip worth watching: watch?v=fp0xjVzmKxY

Maybe next time you expend the time and effort to produce such a music video you could find a band that's not prepackaged to be sold in displays at Starbucks. Boring.

Ok this was one of the worst videos of your channel, but only because of the band.
