Have all their records and they are the definition of modern, yet retro pop to me. Retro, as in the sense that pop used to be written my real persons, not consortia, and was played by talented individuals and groups. This is the Wild Nothing. Jack Tatum appears to know sound, as all their recordings are well mixed, clear, and powerful pop.
