Kirby Riot nerfs (most) things that are no fun to play against. Imagine how infuriating it would be to get 100-0'ed literally before you even realize that an enemy is on top of you. There was no counter-play to a fed Rengar, especially since the new vision system, even more so than with Yi and Akali. All of them are almost impossible to escape, but at least Yi and Akali could be noticed before you died.

Zach Jackson The amount you'd have to feed Rengar to get to that point would mean gg with any other carry anyways. He could always be easily stopped with cc + half a second of focus, and vision wards have been / are / will always be a thing. What about Leblanc, who can distort the range of 5 flashes and instagib anyone in plain sight with just 2-3 spells? Rengar was the ad Leblanc, and nobody nerfed her into fucking oblivion.

Mr Nice Guy The recent rework, believe it or not (been using it in diamond etc), is actually a lot stronger than before. The strengths - never losing stacks on trinket , Q is much stronger now (even tho you can't spam it as fast this guy but 100% of your AD? been wrecking everyone's early game). His ulti rework is actually strong as hell because when you get 5 stacks beforehand, use ulti and when you leap use your Q to use his stacks and then other skills, then you already have full stacks since it's also charging - you see this vid 3 shotting? well i'm killing them the moment I leap using only my empowered Q and instantly getting my stacks back - i can kill someone else, now that his E is a skill shot, you can gain your stacks easily in lane without much punishment and chase people much better - His early game is stronger and his late game is scarier - in fact i'm bursting people down faster than the OG rengar no matter how tanky they become, and surviving much longer in team fights regardless of how glass cannon i go - visions wards don't matter if you have mobility boots and at least 3 stacks on your trinket , and/or some movement speed items like trinity force / ghost blade (you're supposed to get both anyway and what i'm trying to say here is that you can easily roam especially since there won't always be a pink ward) - Rengar is already making a comeback in solo queue now that others are slowly starting to recognize his new strengths

helloitsme I'm not sure how 5v5 has changed, but there's not a single doubt in my mind that he's been butchered in 3v3. For early game, THE most important part of a 3v3 game, his one tool for harass (e) is a skillshot now, so any competent player can stand behind a minion and be completely safe unless Rengar wants to leap into an entire enemy minion wave to get some poke. Literally every other bruiser / top laner has some form of harass or way to deal damage in lane without taking too much minion aggro, but now Rengar can only wait for them to farm lane to his turret. The skillshot part is very rarely helpful, only getting some people who abuse that corner vision near the bushes, but the lack of a guaranteed hit and the fact other people can block for your quarry definitely beat any upside it gained (even the range). His q does less damage, no idea what you're talking about there, and his r is now completely ruined for ganks now that they can see an invisible champion coming, and all the high tier champs in 3v3 have some easy escape mechanism unlike in 5v5. TLDR; His game in 3v3 is horrible now at every stage of the game, relative to how it was before. Its still possible to win ofc, I've had some games where I went 30/0 and could oneshot the entire enemy team, but we all know that's only vs noobs now. Any competent 3v3 top player can shut Rengar down easy now, and even when they don't he's still not as useful / powerful as before the "rework" butchery.

yea true - his 3v3 sucks (i don't know how different 3v3 is now since i havent played it for the last 7 updates on it) , but i'm only playing 5v5s - his 5v5 is a lot stronger compared to before (I get ravenous hydra first which gives a bunch of dmage and the active helps burst dmage) - i've beaten every match up , jax irelia teemo renekton ryze shyv malphite etcetc in lower ranked plays like plat and below when im smurfing - i just assume nobody has a fast reaction so bursting is no problem and he has extremely fast movement speed... considering i farm like crazy so i'm able to get my items regardless - the notice is only SLIGHTLY further than your leap so i don't ever have trouble with that

well like the first nerf they did on his was reducing the empowered ad ratio from 200% to 100% so thye did nerf his q but that was a long time ago they also changed to a base dmg on the non empowered because at release it had the 100% ad ration on it before

I'm not entirely sure, but I believe he activates the SotD and quickly does Q twice, since after his ult, he can activate the ability once more after he has used up his fury. So he's critting both Q's

Yes he does, for example, nasus q and khazix q both do 1000 times more damage than rengars q, and have almost twice the cooldown of his q

Also, Rengar's Q will deal that burst damage whenever he wants, and he can do it twice, and his target doesn't have to be "isolated", you can pretty much just jump at the enemy's backline and smash them with the QQ combo and be done with your day. Yes, it needs items but compared to Nasus and Khazix's Q's, Rengar's Q deals way more damage earlier with fewer item requirements to spare. :P go figure

Rengar was released and nerfed WAY before season 3, and SotD is a S3 item. So no, this is postnerf. the SotD is kind of like the catalyst for his real power, which was shut down by the nerf. SotD helps his burst back a little.

Build : Infinity Edge and Sword of the Divine - bear in mind you NEED sustain so a Bloodthirster and Sword of the Divine is better. After that, you can build whatever, defense or offense - Last Whisper if they have a bit of Armor, Youmuu's Ghost blade or Black Cleaver but really all you need is sword of the divine and some damage (3 shot people, to this day).

i can tell you mine, which works about as well as in this vid: - an early brutalizer - bt - lw - SotD you should now instagib any squishy. for tanks consider this in: - triforce (E procs op) or - IE i usually dont go IE because bt is cheaper and works just as well, brutalizer is just amazing these days, lw ofc, SotD just because crits on already so high dmg Qs is broken.

I tried this and it worked super well. The trick is to always have 4 ferocity, Then; Ult > Sword of divine > Q. The Q gives 5 ferocity, allowing for another empowered Q immediately . My build was Blood thirster, black clever, and sword of the divine. Good luck. (21-9-0 Masteries)
