i play darius almost every game this patch, I quickly got m5 with him, but since I play in Emerald I always ban Jax and not Maokai, because even if i wins the lane my team will find a way to feed Jax.

Darius garen renekton because they are more bully in lane. Nasis and malph because they jave counterplay to his passive (reduce as). Fiora because its easy to counter jaxs stun with her w. Also you can pick maokai Maokai has a lot of waveclear to stop jaxs on tower and mao has a lot of cc to control jax in teamfight. And im not talking about teemo, kennen, jayce (less then others) lilia, vayne, tristana, zyra..also he has very skilled matchups with camilla and irelia. If you want garantly stop jax on lane just pick malph with comet rune. Ah also forget gragas with comet. Gragas e totally counter jax leap and his helicopter

But why? Jax counters fiora with his third, fiora can in theory dodge the stun but its really down to the mind game and also fiora can not activate her marks when jax presses E, i would say gragas is more of a threat to jax, maokai cause of jax's spam can heal more often, amumu(kinda) cause jax's attack speed, and also getting frozen heart is a counterplay@@DakDiWR
