Vladimir is a YOLO champion lol. You really gotta dive to do anything. Ult is a STARTER. Once you Ult, YOU COMMIT. The clock is running, gotta pile damage to increase bonus damage. 3rd (E) is.... think of it like channeling, but you can run around. THAT'S IT. Tapping it again makes it go boom. Getting interrupted makes it go boom. Can't Ult, 1st, or attack. BUT!!! You can 2nd. THIS IS KEY. While you're charging 3rd (just tap it, it's not a HOLD BUTTON ability), activate 2nd and GET IN THERE. Once 2nd and 3rd is done, you got choices. You can flash out, you can cast 1st, you can Stasis, etc. Now, 2nd is a great dodge/flip the table move on assassins and bruisers, since they like to get in your face, removing the need to even approach. Problem is it's got very long cooldown, so AWAKENED SOULSTEALER is a MUST. Also, I don't dive unless I got 2nd up. I also rarely use it to escape, though you can use it for that, because of the long cooldown. And since 3rd + 2nd requires you to dive, I also get Liandry's and that burning armor thingy (Sunfire? the one that does Immolate). Both also gives HP (which turn into bonus AP). First item is Rod of Ages though (even though all the mana stuff in it is useless). I use it for the 450HP and 120AP at full stacks. That's it. Not required though, but I like it. I don't really rely too much on 1st ability, I even rarely use the big heal (I should though). I prioritize maxing 2nd and 3rd to reduce 2nd cooldown since I rely on those to do the killing. 3rd is the one that is usually up first and is the most commonly use for me in every fight. Ult, it's nice if it's there but I barely notice it. 2nd I keep an eye on when it's up, and I go look for a kill once it's up. 1st, eh, just use it to deal damage and to proc Shield Bash for empowered attacks (great rune, usually I hit 3k damage on it at the end of match even though it's just poking).

My current build I use every single game this season, Vladimir got hard buffed this season so here's the new Juice: Mana Boot first, Cosmic Drive, Rift Maker, Deathcap, Infinity Orb, Awakened Soulstealer/situational item like anti heal anti shield spell shield etc Runes Phase Rush Gathering storm Giant slayer Bloodline omnivamo rune Transcendence if ez matchup enemy, bone playing if vs poke or if vs strong engage matchup where u don't want to die to burst I'm Vishvavishk#VLAD I got Masters Vlad top only the season he came out on Wild Rift and Masters Vlad mid only the season after, I reached top 200 Vladimir on that account Now I have a new main acct Vladimir#4692 and I hit top 100 peak currently top 161 area 7k+ champ score Since August I made 4accounts and earned mastery 7 Vladimir on all 4, altogether over 2k matches of Vladimir since August so I've done a bunch bunch of testing of runes and items If you're interested in learning more or taking your Vladimir to the next level, hit me up on Vladimir#4692 and I'll teach u, my mentor was Elite500, I like ur moxie kid if u wanna learn and master him I can teach u just hit me up 👍😎

I tried this in comp games, grasp of undying, the green line for second runes for hp runes, ROA, rift maker and deathcap....i had almost 5k hp. Early game sucks though

This makes so much more sense. Vlad's damage (not including empowered Q) in solo queue is pretty underwhelming, outside of teamfights or when you're already ahead. Seems like he mostly shines by being nigh unkillable and the damage only really comes in late to very late game

Idk if Hells mentioned it, but you want to buffer your 1st ability while in pool, so you instantly use it as you come out.

The combo is to stack 1st, then Ult into 3rd and 2nd ability , then queue 1st ability to auto-cast , then you will have 3rd ability again usually
