I read somewhere that pocket AA go from about 80% (heads up) winner down to around 42% (3 way). You weren't wrong to price out extra villains with the way you were running/table cred for the session (up to that point) until you improved and improved again!😐🤔🤨😏☻🤠🤓😇 While it is an important dynamic to shift gears, it is an incredible play when the poker gods tip you off as to when to shift gears and decide to hit you with the deck after a long spell of run bad. Makes you look like a genius when the plan comes together also- well played (except you should have let as many villains in as possible to be results oriented 🤣). No better feeling than having a losing session turn around in short order with a couple/few big pots! It's what makes the game and keeps us coming back. Love to see it!
@dougmccuskerpoker8 ай бұрын
Thanks, feels good to turn around a rough session and get a win. Smaller raise with AA could entice the big stack to call without getting a good price.

That bluff against A4 would have been really difficult for me. Being down $1000 and risking another $1000? Wow, your live reads are phenomenal. Wish I could be near as good as that, but of course I don’t know your opponents as well as you do.

Hey Doug! Great bluffed really happy to see it went through. When looking back on it, why did you decided to do so? Is it because you were trying to make something happen? Do you believe you will again if you were winning ?

I called the raise with the intention of bluffing flush cards and valuing straights. He was hesitant to risk his chips, felt like it would work more often than failing.

Doug what are you doing checking AA on a draw heavy board??? People chase and do not like to fold so you need to be value betting your strong hands, why would you let them draw for free or brick and fold??? You are leaving soooo much money on the table. Very large hole in your game.

Play how you want... If you think he's that bad go to capital and play him and make sooooo much money.😢 I hit a straight flush at stone's today so don't start in on me either

I agree that value betting AA there is the proper play. I do like to mix things up and take different lines for balance reasons. I play against many of the same opponents daily.
