Wild Voyage || A solo canoe expedition into Scotland's last wilderness

A solo canoe expedition through Knoydart and the surrounding area. A trip which involves sea, lochs, whitewater and a couple of brutal portages including the notorious 13km Arkaig to Morar crossing through Glen Pean.

Great video, and some stunning scenery. What a challenge. Earlier this year I was canoeing/camping just a bit north of you in Assynt at Inverpolly. From Loch Buine Moire through to Loch Sionasgaig. Although I've not got the skills or experience that you possess, no rapids or open sea, just inland Lochs. Those portages looked terrible, well done, you must have a good fitness level and endurance. It was a true adventure, which is rare footage for Scotland and indeed the UK. I have some footage of my Assynt trip might post it on youtube. Keep the videos coming

Good for you getting that east breeze on the Morar last leg. Having done a share of this kind of trip I reckon it's time you got 'the right' composite boat. Not necessarily easy to find (or afford) here.

Well Ollie, what a shift!! Have done parts of that route via other trips, both kayaking and walking but have never done the whole thing by CANOE! Sure admire your mental fortitude, especially doing it alone with no company to cheer you up when things are hard. It's just a pleasure to see folk still doing these things . One is only limited by one's imagination and you've got that in spades. Keep doing it, the possibilities for these trips in Scotland are endless. Chapeau sir!!

Epic trip & finding the energy to film it ! Thank you. Just an observation - I find myself turning the music down & your speech up. The paddling & views are magnificent enough without blasting loud music over them, A bit of gentle music in the background is nice of course.
