I am watching this episode again for the first time since I was a kid, and its still my favorite. While watching it though I wondered "Why does Duggery sound like Darkwing Duck" and sure enough, both were voiced by Jim Cummings!

Skull Duggery is one of the most terrifying non Disney villains in cartoon history along with Skull Master from "Mighty Max" And it's even implied that anyone who entered Skull Mountain met a gruesome demise after encountering Duggery.

Everyone's over thinking the horse-to-cow versus anthro characters. This is such a normal comedy trope in cartoons everywhere. This is like the old Goofy vs Pluto argument. Just enjoy it for what it is...plus I think a lot of younger viewers don't understand until the late 90's early 2000's, animation was rushed and forced out while being drawn 100% by hand, and nothing was computer animated. Mistakes got made a lot more frequently unlike today's cartoons where they can just copy and paste a character design onto a background from a library resource, or drawn by an Intous tablet where it's super easy and efficient to erase and fix mistakes quickly. An animated cell was hand-painted and set permanently. Mistakes and all. And if you had crap funding....well....you had LOTS of animated mistakes. Not everyone was backed by super rich Disney or Nickelodeon. (and their animation teams were WAY larger than small studios like Kingworld)

This actually Season 1 Episode 9, since it aired on October 31, 1992 in the US. Season 1 Episode 3 is actually "Bulls of a Feather", which aired on September 26, 1992

1:17 Was Cowlorado Kid looking at the viewer or at the bull he was wrangling? 3:58 Tom Duggery is revealed to be an anthropomorphic bull. At first, I thought he was an anthropomorphic donkey or even a human. Of course, Skull Duggery is an anthropomorphic bull skeleton. 17:28 When Dakota Dude may have looked at the camera or viewer when he first entered the cave. This unintentional fourth wall break was never confirmed nor was it considered such. Though, Dakota was mostly looking for the calves, but stopped to look in the direction of the screen. 21:32 When Marshal Moo mentions something from The Code of the West, he was facing front view, which was in the direction of the viewer. It was unknown whether he was just talking to Cody or addressing to the viewer about a particular moral of the episode in a way to break the fourth wall break (at the same time). Although, it would be useful for a closing segment focusing on the Code of the West that features a fourth wall break. Though, if the show was more successful and had more episodes then a potential closing segment like that could be the case.

Fleh, there are cows roping other cows so whatevs. Also, who else finds it funny how the original toy line looked RADICALLY different from the characters? And on the topic of toys, the fact that they didn't make a Skullduggery action figure is a crime. He's an anthropomorphic skeletal bull-man, all of that equals awesome!

Cameron Stevens Yeah, they probably could've been a BIT more in sync. Look at Transformers and Ninja Turtles, THOSE series had comics to at least go with their toy lines before the shows came out, and in TMNT's case the toyline came AFTER the show became popular. Because they were smart.

But most of all, I wonder why Duggery's ghost form looks different than his living form. I don't mean to be a spoiler, Duggery does return of S02E05 - Skull Duggery Rides Again that was also uploaded by Elitendo.
