Wildfires in Los Angeles, California USA | A state of emergency

A state of emergency was declared in Los Angeles county, as fast-moving wildfires broke out in southern California, starting Tuesday afternoon, January 7, 2025.
The cause of the blaze was uncertain and under investigation, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
Meanwhile, strong, gusty winds could be one of the reasons fanning the flames of the wildfire.
A Santa Ana windstorm is expected to increase overnight and continue for days, producing isolated gusts.
This is a developing story and more updates are expected in coming hours.
