Wonderful tutorial, I'm excited to have found your channel You mentioned that you were looking for suggestions of songs to learn and teach. I found your channel because I had searched out a tutorial for a song by The seekers recorded in 1964 it's called "there's a new world somewhere" I had forgotten that it was a song that I had learned as a child because my parents had the album, we only had a few albums in the house and so the ones we had were played over and over and over. The other one that's on the album that I remember loving is "Georgie" girl, I think it would be so sweet and fun to sing on the uke, reminds me a lot of the Mary Tyler Moore theme song... "You're going to make it after all" another fun one. I stumbled across these old seekers videos, on Christmas day while I looked for some of my dad's favorite songs, he had passed away exactly 6 months from Christmas day it was my first Christmas without him. Music and harmonizing together was a thing that we shared, He had an amazing voice, a beautiful tenor, I always thought he could have given Elvis a run for his money.. 😔 😊😉 Dad was a natural performer. I have never heard anyone do a more beautiful rendition of "Danny boy", so I guess that would be another request for a tutorial. I'm excited to check out your channel as I have never seen another tutorial that has been put together so well, kudos to you, exceptional teaching!!! Well done.

why are you playing so fast the song is not this fast???
@StephanieDouglassMusic4 жыл бұрын
I didn't think it was that much faster than the original. I have a busier sound with more strums...it felt better to me to use the tempo I was at, at the time. Not sure what else I can say about that.
