The aircraft carrier Gerald R. Ford is not just the largest ship in the US Navy, but practically an entire city on the water, built using advanced scientific achievements!
The commissioning of this giant marked a new era in the development of military equipment aimed at global US dominance on water.
But in today’s geopolitical showdown, will one supercarrier be enough to contain China’s ambitions in the Pacific?
Let’s find out in today’s video!

Therefore, all assumptions about what are "peer" adversaries can do are to me I will believe it when I see it. OUR AIRCRAFT CARRIERS have entire naval battle groups protecting them to include attack submarines. The aircraft carrier battle group us now equipped with directed energy weapons and other weapons kept secret. People accuse me of being stupid because I do not buy communist propaganda. There's a lot of jobs there if somebody's looking the other thing is I wouldn't decommission some of these older aircraft carriers right now. I know it takes a long time to refurbish. These things, but it takes even longer to build them. They could have a use. Just set it up for like 15 years and don't need to do a major overhaul. Set it up for drones and missiles.

The super carriers are vulnerable to massive drone or missile swarms and therefore must keep a very long distance from its enemy target. This is why I advocate for about 25-50 small escort carriers that are easier, quicker, and cheaper to build than a super carrier which can take almost a decade to build and insanely expensive. The smaller escort carriers won’t have complex catapult systems but can be well suited for vertical takeoff craft such as the very capable F-35B. If you have a lot more smaller escort carriers you can lose a few and it won’t be a disaster like if you lose a super carrier. Therefore small escort carriers can risk getting closer to enemy targets. I’m not saying get rid of the super carriers because they serve important functions such as reconnaissance and refueling aircraft that small escort carriers couldn’t launch. But, having a lot of small escort carriers that can launch F-35Bs mitigates the risks and vulnerabilities and enhances firepower effectiveness. It was the small escort carriers in 1944 that saved the battle of Leyte Gulf from being a disaster for the US navy.

Does this mean the US Navy finally figured out how to defend its carriers from the Swedish Gotland class of submarines? After trying for a year, when Gotland managed to pass all the defence systems of the mighty CVN-76 with all supply ships, launch torpedoes (well, not really, but take photos proving that they could have) and escape undetected. Then, the US Navy asked to lease the Gotland for another year, but Gotland could still easily have sunk poor old CVN-76 Ronald Reagan and escape undetected at will. So, have they finally found out? After all, they didn't invite HSwMS Gotland to participate in the tests. Go figure... All the fantastic multi-billion dollar types of equipment above deck mean nothing when half a dozen torpedoes from a $100M sub are coming.

The US without a hypersonic missile in service works on developing new aircraft carriers while the US self-made enemies develop and deploy carrier killing missiles. Makes sense lol

It is overrated! It tried to introduce a couple dozen weapons systems. It might have been launched in 2017, but it was called back over and over again, destroying my son-in-law’s Navy career. He is now training reservists. (By the way, learn how to say Bechtel, the employer of my father from the mid-1960s to the mid-1980s. The Navy wanted to send it into a hurricane to test its strength. Fortunately, they didn’t. This is a stupid waste of our money! More modest and more flexible ships. Check out the success of the Australian Ukrainian cardboard drones. Cheap, flexible, and deadly!

Firstly do yourself a favour. Get 2 of your space astronaut stuck in space station back safely to their family before bragging how powerful your carrier as it really puke us when you could not even fly something useful to space to save the lives of 2 person.

CVN 76 has a Lazer defense system (Helios) capable of targeting 10 threats at once. At 20,000 miles per hr a hypersonic projectile will travel seven tenths of one inch after it's targeted before being neutralized. Cost to fire that lazar is .4 cents. What is the cost of each Hypersonic missiles? The Middle East has fired over 5000 missiles and swarm attacked our Naval vessels, but the US naval defense systems shot down every single one. The United States of America and its Allies have been in every conflict around the World. We have been fine tuned into a lethal force that is highly capable of defending not only ourselves, but our allies as well. China has manpower and production capabilities, but we have a technological advantage 20 years ahead of what anyone even knows about backed by experienced soldiers that are not only courageous but have resolve, the determination to ensure freedom to our allies as well as ourselves. We don't want war but if they want war with the United States of America and our allies I can guarantee one thing someone else will raise their sons and daughters!!!

The Gerald Ford- perfectly named- the military strategy of the 40’s 100 years later- in the age of hypersonics and drone swarms……. The USGF is the US version of the Maginot line- or the German Tiger- technologically superior in every way to anything else in existence…… and completely irrelevant to modern combat- The Sherman’s were cheap and simple could be fixed on the battle field- the Panzers had to be sent to Berlin to be maintained….. We have become what we defeated …….. congrats to the calcified strategists at the Pentagon- in fairness the guys who thought this up were long retired by the time it was completed!!!….. USSGF- the floating equivalent of the $40,000 hammer!
