Aw, farewell Landy. I can totally relate. I passed my test at age 39 and each time I've had to say goodbye to a car, I've shed a tear, because they give us freedom and adventure. As with your other videos when I watch you I can smell all the different aromas, the tent, the grass, mud, trees even the rain. I miss them all as my health is now not robust enough to go romping around the outdoors. The next best thing is to bimble around the wild in my imagination with fond memories of adventures past. You trigger these memories and for that I am eternally grateful 😊

And a touching epitaph for Landy - it's odd how sentimental we get for these creatures of metal and plastic and glass. I had no shame shedding a tear when Puggo the Pegeout got cubed this last summer!

Sounds like your landy was the perfect first vehicle for you. Here I am 57 and just recently purchased something similar to your Landy. A Subaru Forester Premium here in the states. I have had a couple Saloon and an Estate but the Subaru is my favourite so far. I can see why you like your Landy. I am sure your new vehicle will be even a bit better once you get use to it. I have followed you for a long time. The more I listen to you, I think you become more introspective on your own space in life. I was so happy to see you use the handle strap correctly on your trekking pole. So many people are clueless when it comes to these straps. Another superb video, thank you, love watching/listening while in my workshop in the early mornings. Shame about the Landy, as fan of older cars, my old workhorse Honda CRV is 24 years old and been all over the country with me. Landy must have been bad to be scrapped, from someone who can fix their own car, its rare to see one actually written off by an MOT fail. I always look at cost, if my car cost a £1000 fix, fine, as I would rather spend it on that than replace it which would only cost more. I would guess with yours, the only thing possibly to write it off was welding, everything else is only replacing parts and spinning spanners. Keep the old cars alive!! Hope you find a new steed soon.
