Wildcamping On The Smallest Wainwright in the Hilleberg Enan | 4k |

Trying out the Hilleberg Enan (sub 1kg tent) on the summit of the smallest wainwright. The rain wind and midges didn't dampen our mood as we had a great night looking down the valley to Keswick.

This is the first Enan adventure I've seen where the 2 extra guyout lines at the foot have actually been staked out. I have the dark green Enan. Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada U.S.A.

Have the Akto myself for hillwalking, excellent ventillation with both end vents open and the ceiling vent. For 3 season use though got the anjan 2 as also intend to use it for cycle touring, the akto and anjan 2 weigh about the same. Great thing about the Akto and Enan is that you can double their strength for storms by double poling with just 1 more pole.

Liking the new look filming style mate using a proper camera really does add something xtra don't it.. Looks like tha were pitched in same spot I were when I camped up there..cracking little summit with amazing views, shows you don't have to be on the biggies for the views.. Believe it or not I’m actually self taught 😜 ha ha. Love a good song along. Yeah they are really good tents and at about 1kg they are hardly noticeable on your back. Well worth it if you can get one. Now that's how ya wildcamp. Cracking views up there. Simon Cowell rang wonders if you're free next month for Britain's got some talent but needs a bit more 🤣, actually to be fair I'd book ya. Do you do requests 🥴. Stunning pics and I love when the sky gets like that unsettled and dark. Damn midges nothing worse. I'll be looking for a breezy spot when I go out up here this week for sure. Ti's the season for them an all that. Was the tent quite light. My MSR is 2.2 at the minute so packing a tad heavy for West Highland way so I'm trying to get weight down on it. Awesome video and highly entertaining 👏

Ha ha Britain lacks talent maybe 🤣 and what's the request? ....stop singing lol. Yeah the sky was lush and atmospheric like you say just those bloody midges taking chunks out of my face. Yeah the tent is approx 990g and the space and ease of use is unreal, plenty room so it's a nice place to spend time in. Tbh there's a cheaper vango f10 helium 1 that is about 1.2kg so that would also be a good option. Definitely true Dave the views from some of these smaller more modest fells are amazing and sometimes leave you more satisfied than the bigger harder climbs. The tent is fantastic think I may add it to a lighterweight kit for 3 season use. Thanks fir watching, ATB Steve

Hi Paul sorry for the late reply I didn't receive any notification for some reason, yeah the tent is superb and suffered zero condensation however it was fair breeze blowing through that night. There's two large vent at the head and foot end which when opened up allow plenty airflow so even in the worst conditions I can't see this tent suffering much in the way of condensation. The rain cover is the osprey 65ltr I think it came with my pack tbh. I hope that helps and in my opinion this is one of if not the best 3 season tents on the market if you can look past the price tag. Atb Steve

It’s lovely up there isn’t it mate. For such a little climb the views are stunning. What do think of the Enan? Is it up to summit camps in the colder months. The singing is coming along nicely pal. A few more years practicing and you might get a gig at Spennymoor miners welfare 😂

🤣🤣 mate I'm barred from there for singing lol. Just you wat h ill make it some day .....dream big and all that jazz 😜. Yeah mate it's lovely up there although I still find it a little eerie for some reason always feel like there's someone up there even when there's not 🤔 strange. Yeah the Enan is brilliant and I suspect it would be a great 3 season option and handle some rough summit camps with its classic design and shape. The space and usability of the tent is fantastic it's a real nice shelter to use and as simple as it comes to pitch. It's just sourcing one atm that's the issue. Anyways mate let's get something sorted maybe a 2 nighter one camp site with beers 2nd night up a hill somewhere, get a few of the lads together and finally catch up. Hi how bad is the condensation in the enan some say its not bad but some say its terrible and there sleeping bag is wet all a time

Hi Joe tbh there wasn't a drop this night and with the two vents either side open I fail to see condensation being a problem. It's a very airy tent so I'd imagine I most scenarios it wouldn't suffer too badly. Atb Steve
