I love that you do these reaction videos and made your judging process public. Not only is it great for the casual viewer, I also think it is a really nice appreciation of the artists - especially those that didn't make it and those with a small clout. This way they still get something for their hard work - the attention of the audience and the feedback and appreciation of an elite beatboxer. I regularly participate in artistic contests (photography) and it is SO much nicer when you actually get some sort of acknowledgement or feedback from the judges. big up!

Hi D-low you are probably asked this a lot but are you retired with your battling days on stage? Covid changed beatbox not that i dont think the new vids arent sick but I miss when alem codfish napom colaps etc and yourself smashed it on stage and didnt just use your material that you practiced but actually adapted it to the counters it felt way more of a fight to win amd shoed more skill. feel we are missing this with the new talent on stage we need you OGs back to the stage to bring it back. I think the last example of a good battle counter was when helium counter inertia (still think helium won that battle imo) that was insane

I’d swap H-Has for Max tbh. I think Max is great but heard it all before. H-Has has the sickest vocal range in the history of beatbox and was perfectly displayed in this piece. Not only that but interesting, unique and hard hitting bass. The bathroom style audio is a huge L for me. I think max and Napom are lucky to get in, they have access to proper microphone set ups and should use them.

Judges this year have mentioned how they actually like the oldschool recordings, just in a bathroom with the reverb happening naturally instead of having anything edited. Also. These beatboxers shouldn't have to have access to amazing mics, editors, studios, etc. Judges need to be able to judge regardless of audio recording. Though I agree. Sometimes it sounds like shit.

He doesn't pause it to show that he can do it. In fact a lot of the time he can't. He pauses it to attempt it and get an idea of how difficult a certain pattern or sound is. It's not about flexing it's about getting a feel for the complexity of a routine.

That's why you should go watch the original if you don't want any interruptions. You could do that instead of criticizing the world's top beatboxer about pausing the videos to try their techniques to gauge the difficulty of what they're doing in order to give them the most appropriate score.
