imo you need to start tackling by flicking the right stick down doing a cut stick and going for the legs instead using the X/square button or just running into them. the only way they usually break out that tackle is to hurdle or a x factor to break it. plus this year in madden sucks for tackling it just looks like pinball bouncing off everyone. but been loving the madden content

when you're in the weekly strategy, after doing the key players drills to actually have your team commit to the gameplan and your team to all get xp you have to use the D pad on the controller to move over to where it says free practice and start training. Press X on start training and it will give you an overview of the xp earned and fatigue on your team. That way your team actually gets xp and you'll be able to upgrade players a lot more

Just a heads up, when a draft prospect’s physicals say “Elite-Great” etc. it’s based on average attributes of other players at that position, so elite speed for a fullback will still probably be slower than a good speed RB

Wildcat if you push down on R3 when picking a play you can change your coach suggestion like strip ball to aggressive and stuff idk if you knew that or not. Also saw that you get scrabbled on if you right bumper on defensive you can quick adjust the defense to qb contain.

Not sure if anyone has said this yet but the “elite” grades are based on positional groupings so DT having elite speed will be different then a RB having elite speed and from my understanding the FB elite speed and HB elite speed is very different so a FB have “great” to “elite” speed is the same as a HB having “good” or “marginal”

i dont know if you're still struggling with the weekly strategy, but I'll let you know how to confirm it so it goes through after the mini games just hit start training and it will level up your players and their stats also upgrading the head coach will let you have more focus players so they can get help developing
