What's the 3-team tiebreaker? I just did the math and the only way the Predators DON'T automatically clinch is if the Magic take 2 of 3, in which case there is a three-way tie. The website seems to indicate runs against is the tiebreaker? If the Cobras sweep, the Magic are out with 5 wins. If the Cobras take two games, the Magic are out with 6 wins. If the Magic take two games, there is a three-way tie at 7 wins. (Under runs against tiebreaker, the Magic would be out since they've already given up 72 runs this year.) If the Magic sweep, the Cobras are out with 6 wins.
@williammaddock91793 жыл бұрын
@@Oh_Em_Gee_ But does the three way even get to runs against? Cobras have the tie-breaker over the Preds, The Magic would have it over the Cobras, and in the interviews it sounded like the Preds need the Cobras to take 2 for the Preds to get in.

LET'S GOOOO, time to takeaway from a fun series. PLAYOFFS ARE COMING BABY Wildcats - Winners of 8 of their past 11, in a tight tight AL, your money has to be on the Cats to return to the WS. The chemistry on the team is palpable and everyone has bought in from top to bottom - Schultz and Saylor may be the best 1-2 punch in the league right now both on the mound and at the plate. - How can you not love Saylor?? and okay I was gonna say it before Tommy mentioned it at the end but where is Saylor in the MVP convo? Jimmy is the run away winner but is Saylor top 5 in the convo? He is a reliable second arm to Kyle and his bat is sooo timely. Maybe the best power hitter behind Jimmy? Saylor is 2nd in SLG this year behind only him - Saylor doesn't throw hard but he locates the ball extremely well and is a great change of pace from Kyle's style. Really throws off hitters when you get used to Kyle for a series then see Saylor - Speaking of Kyle, 6-6 in Game 3?? After a rough first couple of games that was about as good as I've ever seen Kyle at the plate. When he's seeing the ball well he makes contact with literally everything. On Kracht too Preds - Brutal end to the season. What's crazy is this team still has all the talent from their 2019 run plus McGlade who is one of the best second arms. Something wrong is there but they're clearly frustrated with how the season ended for them. Would be so odd to not see them in the playoffs after their 2019/2020 deep playoff runs - Started 4-2 and ended 3-6. 3 runs in this series against the Cats, 4 in the previous against the Cobras and only 4 in the series against the DBacks. That just isn't gonna cut it. They were middle of the pack in avg/obp/slg. They just left way too may people on base - When Kracht is on he's unhittable but that was a rough Game 3. I wonder how much the speed radar affected his approach and mentality after Game 1

Have to factor in Knorp's pitching. Not only has he been raking all season at the plate, but he's arguably one of, if not the best pitcher. He can win 2 out of 3 series by himself. As great as Saylor has been, the pitching puts Knorp higher as far as which player is the most valuable.

@oddyotter98293 жыл бұрын
You guys are probably right with Knorp, he's been that dominant. But man Saylor CAN hit. He can hit just from any pitcher in the league, which always gives the Cats a chance to win every time he's on the game. and as a secondary arm, he's been surprisingly great this season. he is that consistent and that great in his role this year I hope he gets the recognition for it too.
@icommentsometimes3 жыл бұрын
Overall summary imo: Preds got out hot - I honestly thought they’d sweep. Kracht with a nuke and absolutely lights out pitching. Saylor’s bat was heavily missed in game one. Kyle ultimately still pitched very well that game, there was just the blemish of the home run that costed them. But, the Preds were hyped, and if they’re hyped you know they’re looking good. Wildcats fought back - immediate impact from Nick Saylor. From this series he moved up from #3 to #2 in the MVP race surpassing Kyle. Nick pitched better than Kyle in either game, and hit a HR for the only run of the game. McGlade is an incredible #2 arm, though, preds found something special in him. Overall the preds’ bats went silent but Saylor’s didn’t, giving them a crucial win for the standings. The wheels fell off - the mix of Kyle and Saylor in game 3 was electric. Kyle absolutely mashes off of Kracht. Incredible game one for him, but game three was BRUTAL. He’s officially out of Cy Young contention. Kyle doubled his HR total on the season in that singular game, so he’s hot entering the playoffs. Not to mention another Saylor bomb. Kracht was the first pitcher to actually get affected by the speed warnings. He would’ve struck out Kyle but instead it was ball four, ending up giving the Wildcats two extra runs. The Predators went from being as hyped as ever to dead silent over the course of the series. Kyle pitched very well in game 3, it honestly looked like Saylor got the force out on the only run they scored. Brendan Russell made an incredible play on a nick Saylor ground ball, but he only got one hit in the series I believe. Warda, McGlade, and Kracht didn’t get many either, but at least Kracht went yard. The playoff picture and what to look for - Wildcats ultimately clinched (not surprised, but congratulations). Predators are in a rough spot now, though. They could hope for the cobras to win the series or could hope for a magic sweep. Both possibilities seem unlikely due to the trade of Trevor Bonham, the Cy Young leader up to this point. Magic sweeping just doesn’t sound right. Chadwick’s inconsistency on the mound or Bonham feeling pressure in his debut could be the culprits, or it could just be their below average offense. A more likely situation (but still not *that* likely) is the Cobras winning the series. Drew would have to go God mode on the mound and limit the walks, or Bonham would take those games. Baron, who overall hasn’t lived up to the hype pitching or hitting, needs to step it up during his start and at the plate if the Cobras want to win. Durand and Flynn need to get on base for Drew and Drew needs to drive them in. Baronoski actually hitting would help too. Either of those situations would allow the Preds to enter the postseason but I’d only grant them a 50/50 chance of that occurring. It would suck for Aigner and the rest of the Magic if they made a blockbuster trade just to miss the playoffs. I also feel bad for Alec, who was obviously upset during the postgame interview. He made need to make some changes for next year. (Uh oh Brennan Russell) AL Wildcats 9-6 (clinched 1 seed) Cobras 6-6 Predators 7-8 Magic 5-7

MLW has put together an amazing product and if the Wildcats win the World Series this year I'll do whatever it takes to get a signed Saylor game worn. Kyle and company, you should really be proud of what you have put together. I have watched multiple others wiffleball channels after binging MLW and couldn't get past one game in every instance. The gameplay is better for sure but other than that you can tell there's a ton of care put into every single video. If a runner is on first base, and the following batter gets walked (and happens to be a faster runner) the batter should only be allowed to go to second base if a pinch runner is declared. I have been watching MLW since 2010 and a groundball to the left side is never able to be played for an out(with exception of a few here and there). The bases are to short for there to be a play, I think on a ball that is hit to the left side the pitcher should be able to act as a first baseman on the mound. For example the mound rubber is the same as first base on balls hit to the left side(as in the ball is hit to the left of second base). I am sure they have their reason for this rule to not be installed, but I think it would make it more interesting and make players hustle to first even more and give defenders on the left side a chance to get an out because right now if you hit the ball to the left side you're safe unless you're insanely slow. Also think games should go to 5 innings. Like if you agree, I absolutely love this league how it is now, I am just throwing something out there. Good luck the rest of the season everyone! Go Wildcats!!!!!
@michaelcapone1753 жыл бұрын
I feel the MLW needs to implement rule changes to increase the number of hits per game. This rule would lessen the amount of hits. In a league where a no hitter is a very common achievement, I would avoid any rule change to lessen the amount of hits. If I could make a rule change, it would be to move the pitching rubber back to give the hitters a better chance.
