Oh gosh , me too. Its not just me... I have mad respect for these awesome birds. I am just glad that we don't have any in Canada. Or at least not that I know of.

Somehow they also end up in my recommendations until I click them... it's as if we were being trained for something. But I have no idea what this could train us for.

These birds are beautiful! I'm obsessed with not only their looks, but mostly the strange sounds they make.

These guys are beautiful! We have them in Sweden too, the species is called "Tjäder" here. What's it called in Estonian?
@natureman8713 жыл бұрын
Hei! In Estonian he is called "metsis". This species is yes, both in Estonia and in Sweden. But one bird that has disappeared from Estonia is the willow ptarmigan, "rabapüü" (lagopus lagopus). I really like this bird but I have only seen it in Swedish Lapland.
@rosenmartin9143 жыл бұрын
@@natureman871 I'm sorry to say I haven't seen either of them in person, I haven't traveled very far out in my life so far. I do however hope to meet some of these kinds of animals in the future! The Willow Ptarmigan (Dalripa in Swedish) range is a bit too far north of where I live right now, though. I think it's wonderful that there's still a lot of forest left here in Northern Europe, with so much wildlife to discover!

Perhaps it's a good thing the attack wasn't filmed in this video. As long as the capercaillie doesn't see you as a threat, you're fine. Still, it would be nice to see these here. We've had many birds, most of them common sparrows and such, but nothing like this species of bird!

@@lorenzschutzinger4619 The number of capercaillies in Estonia constantly decreasing. Estonian's problem is large-scale deforestation.
