very interesting tuning you came up with Will - clever stuff :-)

Thanks, it was inspired by Brendan Power's Powerbender and Poeerdraw tunings.

Can you do a lesson on Eat Me from Ozzy Osbourne? I don’t know what key it’s in and I can’t figure out how to play it right. You’re a legend of the harp man👍🏻

So I can get that Blind Owl tuning for “On The Road Again”? I think it’s hole 6?
@willharmonicawilde4 жыл бұрын
The note you're referring to is a minor third. It's a draw 7 half step bend on Wilde Tuning.

I have a 1847 Wilde in A from ur site. What is the expected tuning(just, etc), the middle draw E seems somewhat sharp, i'm advanced Intermediate, I know its usually Embouchure is the problem initially with different harps, but i have no issues with many other Richter and Powerdraw Powerbender harps. I'll keep at it, but any tips, send it my way. Thanks for all your great tuition!!! Cheers

I can't say I've ever had a problem with tuning on an 1847. They're tuned to Seydel's "compromised" tuning, so the 6 draw should be +2 cents (depending how hard you play it will flatten slightly as you play it of course). Have you checked it on a tuner?
@willharmonicawilde4 жыл бұрын
You can also check it by playing an octave tongue split 2+6 draw

I must get one 😁✅

Do you ever play them in 6th or 7th position minor? Using an F for E or B minor looks like it could be pretty cool. In 6th you get the 5th on a bend in both octaves. A flat 7 on a bend and the minor 3rd on a regular draw with quick access to the 2nd. 6th and root are on a draw. Only the 4th is a blow note. It may be difficult to not accidentally hit the flat 5 though.

The only positions I tend to use are 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th. That's not to say the others wouldn't be good, I just haven't experimented with them.
@chickenman72522 жыл бұрын
@@willharmonicawilde okay i think 5th is really good for harmonizing with chords. Can basically play it like 2nd right?
@willharmonicawilde2 жыл бұрын
@@chickenman7252 5th position gives you the relative minor to playing 2nd position major.
@chickenman72522 жыл бұрын
@@willharmonicawilde right sorry I meant you can play it similarly to second since the pentatonic scale is in the same spot. You can just go heavy on harmonizing with the chords instead of playing the root a lot since it's on a blow note.
@bharpo3 жыл бұрын
Will, all very useful but you're playing with overblows, vibratos, and other effects, that most beginners would not know.
@willharmonicawilde3 жыл бұрын
Learn how to do them first then, this isn't supposed to be a beginner lesson.
