Just one more question,how do I or can I get the same sound from the 6 blow as on the Richter scale.Keep in mind I am still a rookie but love the Seydel sound and the Wilde harps, just the damn 6 blow.Need help.Thanks.🫣
@willharmonicawilde
@willharmonicawilde 20 сағат бұрын
@rodneyange1046 why would you want to do that? Probably the biggest advantage of Wilde Tuning is that you have that root note as a bendable 6 draw, thus giving you the ability to add scoops and vibrato to it... But if you did want to retune hole 6 back the same as Richter then you would need to tune 6 draw up a tone, and 6 blow up a tone and a half

@ I was trying to play Amazing Grace on the upper octaves and I use the 6blow.What would you suggest
@willharmonicawilde
@willharmonicawilde 20 сағат бұрын
@rodneyange1046 learn to use the 6 draw instead... Or if you really want to play that note as a blow you could use blow 7 instead, it's the same note.

@ no I am not going to mess around with the reeds on a Wilde harp.They sound beautiful I know I need more time playing them , I have 3 of your harps and 4 seydels. I will keep playing and one thing about you is you get back quick so thank you for that. I am good and I will play,heck I am 67 and love playing by ear ( the best I can) so far so good.Enjoy your day from across the pond🎶👍

Is Seydel the only company making Wilde tuned harps? (No complaint, just want to see the options.)
@willharmonicawilde
@willharmonicawilde 8 ай бұрын
Yes, it's exclusive with Seydel. It's available in the 1847 Classic (which is my preferred model) and the Session Steel

Is there a key you would recommend to start with when I make the switch to your tuning?
@willharmonicawilde
@willharmonicawilde 8 ай бұрын
I would start with one of the lower keys, like or A or G (or lower) so that the high octave draw bends won't be too difficult.

I've watched a tutorial on this before but still a little confused. So you get all the notes of a Richter tuned, just in a different order?
@willharmonicawilde
@willharmonicawilde 8 ай бұрын
Like I said in the video, holes 6,7 and 8 are the same as 2, 3 and 4. So you get all the same draw bends there, eliminating the need for overblows/overdraws to play the blues scale, and making the upper octave much more expressive.

@DominickODierno I've never A/B'd them but I don't think there's a huge difference. The only reason I started using this one is because it's one of the few mics that comes with an on/off switch.

I've got a Low E in Wilde tuning and LOVE all the draws in the upper register I can wail on! Any way you could sell your amazing Harmonicas in a few shops here in USA? That would help with pricing as well as those of us here not having to deal with VAT prices and extra shipping costs. Love your style of playing and your innovative products man, it's unfortunately quite expensive to purchase your Wilde Tuned Harmonicas here in the US. The one I have was found on Amazon of all places which is the only time I've ever seen a Wilde Tuned Harmonica sold on that site~💥🎵🎙🔥🤙🏽🎛♥️🌠🐈‍⬛❗️
