Wilderness SE Pontoon Trout Action (Trolling for HUGE NUMBERS!)

We could not keep these fish off the line! Non-stop action on TWO pontoons! This was a crazy day of trout fishing. Rainbows and Cuttthroat were the two winners today. Not any brookies or browns, but they're in there too!
One of my favorite high mountain Washington lakes.

I love trolling around in the pontoon. I put a rod holder on either side on the frame down by your legs on my pontoon boat. Pistol Pete’s are awesome too👍

How did you mount em down there? I want to buy another one of the "stock" holders, but they are spendy lol

@@FishandForage I used a U bolt to secure the rod holder base to the frame with the threaded ends of the U bolt pointing up so it won’t compromise the pontoon. It works great. Just measure the width of the tube in the frame and get the correct UBolt. Might have to drill out the mounting holes on the rod holder base a little as welll. You can use the cabelas rod holders that less than $20 new.

@@FishandForage Here in Laredo, TX there is a state park lake called Casa Blanca and that is where i'm going to be learning how to fish. The swivel seat piece just arrived right now and next week I'll be buying the Ugly Stik and a PFD. I dig your videos and keep up the good work!

Stability isn't bad at all, but moving around when the wind is strong can be a pain in the ass for sure!

I will say it's a stocked lake in the WA mountains. You should check out the WA state trout stocking report to find lakes that they plant trout in near you!

Yeah, it's not too bad. I've been thinking about trying to get 7 foot oars instead of 6 foot, but I can row all day without issue currently!

I have the 7 inch pedestal. I've seen people use the 13 inch one though. I think that's a bit too much for me. With the 7inch one I can still use the oars pretty much like normal!
