Epic Winter Bushcraft: Building a Hobbit-Style Hideaway in Deep Snow! 🏕️

Hey everyone!
In this epic winter bushcraft adventure, I take on the challenge of building a Hobbit-style hideaway completely from scratch! Deep in the snow-covered wilderness, I carefully dig out a hidden dugout, construct a sturdy wooden frame, and set up insulated walls and a handmade stove to stay warm in freezing conditions.
To make this cozy Hobbit-inspired shelter truly feel like home, I add:
✅ A handcrafted bed and rustic wooden chair
✅ Windows and a strong, weatherproof door
✅ A waterproof roof, covered in moss for natural insulation
✅ A stone pathway leading to the entrance
And after a long day of survival crafting, I make a fire just outside our Hobbit house.
This winter survival project was both a challenge and a dream come true! The result? A sturdy, warm, and completely nature-blended Hobbit shelter, perfect for bushcraft enthusiasts and survivalists.

A roll of clear of cling wrap for cooking wrapped around a wood frame makes a good quick double paned window with decent insulative properties. edit the wrap would make a great seal for your door as well.

私なら丸太を切って積む時に、苔を敷いては丸太の切っ物を積み…を繰り返し隙間が初めからできないようにします。　もしくは泥を置き丸太の切った物を置き隙間のないようにしていきます。　後から苔を押し込むのは、二度手間になる気がします。　犬は何処で寝ていたのかが気になりました…まさか外ですか???　　　最後は、同じ部屋で過ごしたのですね❤❤❤　　ご苦労様でした🎉🎉🎉…体を休めてからでいいですから　次の投稿を待っています

That snow doesn’t look too deep. I’m in Quebec and we’ve got about 25 cm right now and get annually about 180 cm the city of Montreal snow clearing budget for 2023 was $183,000,000. That’s a lot of snow moving. We are snow. Cheers from Montreal Quebec Canada 🇨🇦
