Escaping from a courtroom and "injuring" an officer who unnecessarily jumped down stairs truly injuring himself is pure madness
@burritopapito3 ай бұрын
Moral of the story: trying to escape from a courthouse is a very bonehead move. Notice how most of these people are lucky to even make it past two days. People don’t realize that going on the run means no going back home, no hiding with friends/family, no going back to places you frequent. Unless you’re comfortable with basically starting from scratch completely off the grid, you’re *going* to get caught so you might as well just do the time or be ready to do the time and then some.

If you see court staff bailiffs stop a chase when the person leaves the property, it's because they aren't allowed to chase past property lines. It's for the safety of the officers and the public. The normal police force will be called and set up a perimeter to try and find the person.

In Germany it is not a crime to escape from prison or police custody. Because the desire for freedom is an inviolable fundamental right. Most of the time, so many other laws are broken during the outbreak (e.g. damage to property) that you end up in prison for even longer afterwards. Gerald Hyde II would have gone unpunished. No criminal behavior during the escape. Cool and unobtrusive, no violence or damage Apart from his previous sentence, he would not be charged.
