He is talking about Shirley. That happens after he made her forget him and they "meet" at the memorial of those dead soldiers and she asks him if he also lost someone there and so he says yes and means her. :)

Leaving out the scene was for two reasons - one was that I in general like videos that are deep yet spoiler (mostly death scene) free and the second and main reason was that I was trying to make the video a bit more uplifting rather than a really sad one, so I ended it instead with that really nice moment. :)

To be honest Lelouch loved C2 Shirley Kallen. But Shirley is above all it is just that. Love isn't his priority. And C2 is more important in any aspects. That's why Lelouch is somehow is more closer to C2 than Kallen and Shirley. I love Shirley but I'm good if she stays dead, you know why? I saw how much Lelouch loved her. I think that moment when Lelouch says he likes Shirley but Shirley says he's lying, there's a little chance that he actually likes her but yeah... This anime is not a romance. When Shirley was revive, her value have gone and that's what I hate... Their ending is a romantic tragedy i ever saw in anime :( Hays... What a waste really. Ps. Lelouch and C2 shippers. I'm good with this couple. I have nothing against with this two. I just cling on what is factual and the truth that I saw.

The reason why lelouch and Shirley ship is so damned romantic is because she died in the hands of Lelouch... And there was a lot of drama along with it but without that I don't think the ship will be so strong... Thus my OTP is cc x ll...
