Even if you didn't like his last special, the 4 before that were straight fire. I never thought Joe Rogan was a great comic or anything, but his most impressive work to me has been since he got the big bucks, Fear Factor and beyond. I will openly grant you that a lot of guys do sell out, and it sucks when they do, but that doesn't apply to EVERY COMIC by any means whatsoever. Other class acts like Bill Burr and Louis C.K. have had their ups and downs, but the material was always of a high caliber and it was never pandering or dumbed down or lazy. Quit being cynical, because true professionals do exist, and they should hold themselves to such comprehensive standards.

He takes over every podcast. I used to like him a lot, and while it’s great he’s had such extreme success recently I think it’s changed his personality in a bad way for podcasting. Especially when there’s a guest on, and ESPECIALLY in a comedy podcast. You’re supposed to ask questions and get the ball rolling and let the guest shine while you take a bad seat and build onto what they’re saying. Bert feels like a guest in every podcast he’s in.
