MFT35-H FIREFIGHTING TURBINE
FT stands for Firefighting Turbine which is the versatile EmiControls mist cannon. The turbine is fitted with a nozzle ring which atomizes water and extinguishing foam to form fine particulate matter. This water or water/foam particulate matter is distributed by a propeller. The spray action is variable, ranging from a mist which spreads over a wide area to a water jet with a remarkable projection range. The particulate matter is more efficient at fighting fire and has a much higher cooling capacity than conventional systems.

With a few of these units you could change atmospheric conditions creating higher dew points thus laying the fire down.

It is in US. They use it inside factories mounted on the ceiling to put fires out on different machines below.

Well this is just a test I suppose , in a real actual wild fire they would probably have many more of these at once possibly larger ones and over time they could extinguish the flames a lot faster if they also used planes and helicopters with maybe a similar water mist , it would still take many days weeks with this process , but most likely a hell of a lot quicker than the current methods

I can see a lot of FDs getting this- park the truck on the side of the road, hook up to a hydrant, and when the fire gets to them gently mist it down. I can't see it being useful off road (where most real brush fires occur) or in areas without hydrants. It looks impressive, though

Could double as a way to really scare the heck out of aliens. And yes, tools like this need to be more widely used. High volume water delivery systems are the (ahem) wave of the future.

You can put out a fire by removing heat, oxygen, fuel, or the chemical reaction. This can remove heat and oxygen

Our mother company is actually the market leader in the snow gun business. Thanx to the inhouse know-how in mechanical engineering and in water atomization, we have worked very successfully on a solution for fighting fires.

Not sure if this works. When very high temperatures this water-air spray would also push air (with lots of fresh oxygen) to the fire as well so it would be of no surprise if it has the exact opposite results. Test it in real fire.

We only add as much oxygen as any other conventional method would apport passively. These units are currently in use in real fires in Southern Italy. Let's hope though that the critical situation there and all other parts of the world is over soon.

vkzbin.info/www/bejne/qZyQo6irhNiqpdk This video of a similar jet in action was successful but also shows what you expect: as the jet spins up its blast fuels the fire, until it achieves enough force to extinguish it. Much like the difference between blowing a little air to start a fire or a lot to put one out.

What if we had these turbines mounted on light poles/telephone poles in residential areas connected directly to the water line, and connected to a network with automatic heat sensors like the sprinklers in a commercial building? Seems like that could prevent a lot of damage.

So, that's gonna get inside your house, how? After its a smoldering pile? Not very practical. Also, heat sensors on a light pole are gonna detect heat from a fire inside your house? Again, not practical.

@@smoothlyrough512 not really talking about house fires here, if you burn your house down from the inside that's your fault. I'm thinking more about defending against forest fires spreading to houses, stores, etc. like what happened on Maui
