After Iceland, we are the country with the fewest forests as far as I know, so every tree counts. Nature is very vulnerable everywhere, and it is wonderful to experience this action up close. Especially since most of it is done by volunteers. I'm proud of you!

While a roaring wall of flame is terrifying, the slow creep of smouldering underbrush has that same dread that flooding has. That unstoppable bastard thing under your feet. Glad the boys had so much water to drench the place.

I think Paul mentioned it in another video, I love how methodical they are. One of the guys had just finished his education and this was his first fire, hence the learning experience.

Some clarification: Fire Romour (brandgerucht) can mean 2 things. An automatic fire alarm can be set off in a building or a member of the public calls the fire brigade concerned that there may be a fire. In both cases the alarm can be retracted if there's nothing wrong. As in this video, For fire rumour the fire brigade initially drives without lights and horn, when it turns out to be the real thing dispatch upgrades the alarm to P1 and permission for lights and sirens is given.

Well, not much space in our country!! Many roads in the Netherlands are narrow or have been made narrow to create traffic safety. Our emergency services are experiencing quite a lot of inconvenience from this. For example, speed bumps have been placed on many roads. A disaster for the suspension and for patient transport!!!

@16:14 "Do you want to throw out another snake?" Translations are awesome hehe ("slang" in Dutch means "hose" but also "snake")

I told you there were some new camera angles 😉 With this video I remembered scenes from the series Fire Country and keep your eye on the ground because the fire may be trapped underneath all the dirt and may cause another fire if you don't pay attention to it... So it was a good job to soak the grounds 👍

Het verschil tussen jou brandweer en die uit Nederland is dat Nederland dunnere slang op hogedruk gebruikt die lang is en super snel inzetbaar is, ook is het gewicht stukken lichter. Groeten uit: zuid Holland!!!

This is why fire engines in Europe are much smaller than in the US. Those European streets and roadways are tiny!
