Im literally no one in the comments but Im reaching out for tips or anything atp. im musically talented i just have a serious problem with my "figuring things out" stage. I have ideas and little things recorded on my phone (original piano songs and such) but if i wanted to actually produce an actual song myself how would i do that? like what equipment do you use and how much knowledge do i have to have on like softwares for music production and stuff? you really seemed like a person i should ask this from. my only life ambition is to be a musician because singing and playing my instrument just lights my heart on fire but im still realllllyy confused about all the production part. and im quite aware all musicians had this stage at some point so im just reaching out to musicians who have some grip on it already. i really hope im not bugging you with this or anything

hii! i download the backing track and put it in garageband and just sing over it. then sing harmonies over the melody, it can be a long process but it’s so rewarding.
