zacharo fire in 2007 (Elia perfecture in peloponissos-greece) burned about 450.000 acres and 48 pepole died plus all villages of zacharo area were seriously damaged or destroyed were actually caught in a massive rotating wildfire during the first dramatic hours...too bad nobody have make any conclusions of this tragedy

Fire crews were to busy taking pictures and talking instead of warning the crew on the ground that a fire like tornado was heading their way. So these people got burnt and had to set up their fire shelter many lessons and training was not used.

@@oceandrew Actually, the moment that a "Vertical Rotating Plume" was sighted; THEY SHOULD HAVE INFORMED EVERYONE ON THE RADIO. *Even a mediocre federal government worker could figure that out*

There can´t be enough training for every fire fighter and it should be repeated before fire season every year!
