I headed back to the Badlands, this time with my brand new Scout Kenai Camper! Follow along with my first two days. We drive 11 hours, find some Sheep and Bison, and eat some banana bread!

Thank you so much! I have considered making a “educational membership” on KZbin, where I go over a ton of things like settings, equipment, technique, tips and tricks, etc for a small Monthly fee.

First off i want to say, I believe i have found another great wildlife photographer out here to put into my list of wildlife photographers i watch. This content is amazing. I put you up there in the top 3 of who i watch on a reg basis. You need to go find and watch Morten Hilmer, Steve Mattheis and Trond Westby. These are great wildlife photograhers. Im sure there is more out there but i sure love watching yours. Awesome job my friend. Sec, i would like to know where you got your camera bag? that big green one. I think its green Or coyote brown? Thats an awesome bag. Im looking for me one. Anyhow, thank you for the videos. Keep em coming.

Im not going to lie, this comment really meant a lot to me. Morten HIlmer was a huge inspiration for me, and to be talked about in the same breath, is really special. The bag is fantastic! Its a F-Stop Gear Sukha 70L. For the most part, I love it. Holds everything I need, and is comfy to wear! I wish It had an external water bottle pocket, and I wish it had MOLLE webbing on the outside so I can easily attach things like GPS, Radio, etc.

@@FoxandFir oh well heck yea man. Anytime. I’m no one special. I’m actually a rodeo photographer but I love wildlife and want to get out more to do it. Morten was the first guy I started watching 7 years ago when I picked up my first camera and have watched him ever since. Is cool to find some news guys making a name for themselves out here. Keep up the amazing work my friend. And yea that’s an awesome bag. I’ll have to wait till I find someone that’s has one on Facebook marketplace before I get one. There not cheap but I can see why. Anyhow, thank you for the reply. Keep shootin.

How difficult was it to get a permit for filming there? Was just there in December, but didn’t video due to the ridiculous laws around National Park filming.
@FoxandFir
@FoxandFir 2 жыл бұрын
You only need a permit if you are doing commercial videography or photography. If you are doing it for yourself, you can do it all you want. They essentially don't want full on film crews showing up, bothering the animals, disturbing other guests, etc. I didn't fly the drone in the National Park, and I only camped in their approved Boondocking sites, or camped outside the park. I even had the Rangers stop by a few times asking how its going, and to tag them so they can see it when its done haha.
