I hope you enjoy this one, another comes in around a week, but before that we return to my local lake in Germany.

Wonderful work Gunnar. I think this intro was important, so excellent choice to share it, at least from my point of view. Your pasion helps more people than you may think.

The original idea was to make a video out of all my work again, but somehow I got stuck with this format, and I thought some inspiration or idea at the beginning can be always nice and as well catching for new viewers. So I will try to continue with these interesting intros for these small formats. Thank you, Pau :)

Lovely video, I've enjoyed watching it! You had such great projects in stunning locations. Wildlife that most photographers may never see. Cherish the moments and take life as it comes. It's too short to stress about it.

Hei Gladys :) Yeah, some of these where not too far off the beaten track, which is kinda funny. Sometimes you just have to open your eyes. Another one of these videos is coming soon :)

I often forget these projects or cross them off as rather no success, but they were definitely on the right path. Just needed some more time. There will be another episode soon, and as well in the future, I am sure. Thank you, Kath! :)

I like your videos Gunnar! Sometimes, the background music is slightly too loud, but your poetry in filmmaking is very nice. I would love to see some of the single images you must have made of the different animals, the cute badger, for example. Some times I feel you underestimate your own ability, but that is neither necessary, nor good for you! You have lots of talent! So believe in yourself!
@GunnarDresler2 жыл бұрын
Hei Steinar. I very much appreciate you telling me about the music. I am in a process of having different speaker from time to time, so this information is gold for me mixing my videos. I hope to have a working system in place over the next couple of months that will give me a standard to work with. I am not completely sure what you mean with the single photos of the badger? This intro is basically a compilation of many adventures from the last two years, so if you want to see the badger photos I recommend my badger series. If you meant photos to the single short stories, then I must disappoint because there was not really a decent photo of the beaver nor the woodpeckers. You are right now, I am well in underestimating my skill and what I have learned in short time. I am not fully convinced of my photography, but I think very well of my videos. Thank you so much for the feedback :) Cheers.

Great format Gunnar, it would be such a waste to not show all those unused clips. Every time I watch your videos it inspires me to go out and do more. I have been looking to get a shotgun mic, which one do you use? Cheers Keith
@GunnarDresler2 жыл бұрын
Hey Keith. I am very happy to hear that those videos inspire to go out more and that people enjoy this extra material. This stuff is laying around and sometimes it seems to be too good to just leave it. In the end I am saving up for a greater goal, but there is no reason against a sneak peak. The mic I am using is the Røde Videomicrophone pro plus, it is working well in a lot of cases, but is no super specialist. I have to get something else for aimed recordings like the eagle owl in the future! Cheers, G :)

It was actually an easy spot, but then finding it with the camera was hard since I lost it. Gladly I had Dario with his eyes on it for the whole time. We listened to it the evening before and did not see it at all, but the second time it worked well. If you listen closely you hear the female in the back. Glad you enjoyed this one :)

@@GunnarDresler Duetting owls are really cool. It's awesome that you managed to record it! Have you considered a thermal monocular? They are eye wateringly expensive but there is a second hand market (and if you are brave enough to buy a broken one and fix it yourself it can be cheap). They are a very effective tool to find wildlife, even well-insulated birds like owls. Looking forward to seeing mor of your "projects that did not work out as planned". This episode is excellent.

I guess I would not go that far, even though that sounds like making a lot of things easier. I guess I will read up and then try to find the right environment, sleep outside a lot and listen.
