Hi Gunnar, probably a few little habit differences but still the Eurasian Nuthatch (Sitta Europaea) great birds 👍

Fantastic Richard I to built a wooden hide over my fence down the side of an old hedgerow it was a God send when we became locked down. Now I’m looking forward to Autumn and Winter use, don’t have the diversity of species you have but am privileged to have a Badger sett 6m from my back door in the Hedge.
@RichardBirchett4 жыл бұрын
Cheers Laurence, thats awesome stuff, lockdowns been a nightmare for all of us and has given many time to use what we have on our own properties, and converting the shed or building to a hide is such great fun. Wow, 6m away thats special stuff right there, I am hoping to do some badger and fox evening photography from the hide, I've got two security lights outside the hide that come on when they visit, they are getting use to it now so photography project on the go! Thanks again R 👍

Hi Keith, very lucky to have it! thanks very much, considering the low light they turned out pretty well. Yes the F2.8 is a sweet little lens for Wildlife photography, especially throwing the background OOF. All the best mate, R :-)

When you shoot in RAW format "like I do", your in-camera settings do not matter, "the only thing that is used in your RAW file is the white balance settings, which again can be fully adjusted in post", the in-camera settings ,they only matter if you also shoot RAW+JPEG, it's the JPEG file that is effected with the in-camera settings.
@RichardBirchett4 жыл бұрын
Cheers for the comment, I shoot RAW & sometimes JPEG (Small) just for social media purposes, in this situation I shot both. Unless I need the file size and reduced buffer lag then RAW only. Cheers for getting in contact. All the best R :-)

Hi Richard, audio was good and the video, quick question, just started doing a bit of wild life photography , took some pictures of red kits in Scotland, had to use high ISO, and used my 100mm to 400mm canon lens, but the pictures are noisy due to the high ISO is Topaz noise reduction good as I’ve never used it, wouldn’t mind a bit further advice.Thank Mark, Plymouth.
@RichardBirchett4 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, great to hear from you and nice one on the Red Kites such beautiful birds to photograph. Topaz is an amazing program and I would highly recommend it, I am constantly blown away but its capabilities and even some quite OOF shots can still be usable. I'm hoping to do a Vlog on it at some point. If you need anything further give me a shout. All the best R :-)

Hey Richard, another great video! Audio sounds fantastic... very natural just as if we were in the hide together. If you don't mind my asking... when you show the video of your subject are you switching from stills to video with the camera you are using or are you using multiple cameras? I find hide photography so relaxing and I find time passes so quickly... staying in for only a few hours is tough... if the action is good I find it hard to leave. As always looking forward to the next one! Sayin' hey.... Greg
@RichardBirchett4 жыл бұрын
Hi Grey, nice to hear from you and thanks for your comments I always look forward to reading them. Of course no problem, I use one camera and switch between stills and video to reduce the amount of kit I take. I too really enjoy hide photography and am now just about to head out in the rain to photograph Dippers from my bag hide as it's very wet out! I don't blame you, I could stay in one all day, lol.. All the best R :-)
