My dad moved out to the city of Surprise, Arizona, and legit lives about 10 minutes from this zoo. Took him for Father's Day last year and while we had a blast, being that it was our first visit, it was definitely a little disappointing seeing some of older exhibits vs the newer ones. But, one can always hope that part of those new expansions will include larger exhibits for the animals in the older exhibits. Especially for that saltwater croc.

This zoo is 7 minutes from our house so we bought a pass. I mostly like the zoo but think it needs some work. It is privately owned. The new enclosure under construction is for the tigers.

Wetn here with my now fiancée and some friends in January! Actually, I proposed there! It was pretty cool, but you absolutely need to take advantage of the upcharge items (train/chairflift/tram) if you want to spend the whole day there and actually get to see everything.

But why do the capybaras have a massive enclosure but the tigers and lions have a small enclosure??!! So confused

The only gripe I have about that zoo is the lack of paved walkways. Just know that your gonna be walking on dirt paths all day haha. Other than that I absolutely love that place!
