Thanks, Scott a useful video. I am considering the Z6iii as a main video camera for my channel. But also want the flexibility to do good photography with it as well. Seems like one of the best options out there at the moment.
@WildlifeInspiredАй бұрын
It's a solid option for that unless you must have 8k (which most people dont need)

Nice learning Scott . Got z6iii recently Can you recommend Z lens for video shoot Thanks

Depends on the distance you want yo shoot buy the 24-70 is a good focal range for most type of shooting and if you need a longer length there is a 28-400 or 24-120. For birds, maybe the 180-600 makes sense.

Very useful. As a rare video shooter I have found the best results are had by simply filming in Auto mode. What mode settings do you use? Possibly another episode on this? I have my Z6III settings dialled in for photography but video is completely different.
@stigfloberghagenphotographyАй бұрын
Use ien of the the user settings, U1, U2 , U3
@davidcrighton3431Ай бұрын
@@stigfloberghagenphotography, yes sure. But what settings are applied to each U setting? I've experimented and gotten very variable results. Which mode? P, A, S, M, Auto? Which quality settings? Which frame rate? The list goes on.
@stigfloberghagenphotographyАй бұрын
@@davidcrighton3431 i use manual, frame rate 25/50. And use filters, iso and aperture to control exposure

Very interesting for me that has done no video with Nikon. What video editing software do you suggest for a beginner? I use LRC for stills.
@WildlifeInspiredАй бұрын
I used VSDC, but DaVinci Resolve is more common and has some advantages. If you want to pay a lot more Adobe Premier is more of a standard, just cost more as a monthly subscription.

Hello and thanks for the video. Have you noticed any flickering issues as others are reporting? I have ordered a Z6 III (waiting to receive it) and i am really thinking about returning it...
@WildlifeInspiredАй бұрын
It onlj shows up on deep shadows. I have not practically seen it in the short nature videos that I make

@ Thank you! Some guys are trying to find bad spots in the z6 iii just because it’s a very good camera, more than they can handle…

Thank you for sharing very valuable information with practical examples. I have one question though as i plan to buy this in the near future, Can i shoot videos by looking through the EVF and not necessarily through screen?
@WildlifeInspiredАй бұрын
yes always through EVF and/or rear.

What kind of lenses did you use for video?
@WildlifeInspiredАй бұрын
Oh boy. Fir the insects I often use a 100mm macro and for the moose a 400mm

Btw. 4K 120p is DX cropped, not FX possible.
@WildlifeInspiredАй бұрын
Yes! I will add to description of video
@dicekolev5360Ай бұрын
There is no x2.3 crop in 4k120 right? NOBODY mentions that and it's literally the one reason I am still using z9 , damn

So much AF hunting on the Z6 II on your stream. Even the Z30 does a better job...

I noticed that too, got to be distracting from the good info in the video.

I actually just manually focused the system, it was so annoying and I don't understand why it is so bad at this very easy task
