I did a raid once for the elite diary and got 50+ deaths. It actually taught me so much about the different rooms and got me a torn prayer scroll 😎

Got my first two deathless Olms following yours and Soups guides on 4:1. Thanks for going into as much detail as you did, a lot of your recorded gameplay and commentary helped me solidify my understanding the mechanics at Olm, and steadily improve into my first completions. Theres still so much to learn but will keep improving, thanks for being a part of the community Kip :)

Over the years I've done only about 200 team raids. Just tried my first solo 'blind' as I've only ever seen streamers do it. Had a few deaths at olm and realized it wasn't as easy as it looked. This was exactly what i needed. Thank you so much 🙏

Over a thousand kc and this week just got my first 10 solos deathless, I was always so intimidated doing a solo because of how long it’s takes to get to olm if you fail. But after some frustration and these guides I’m getting it down and using less and less brews it’s awesome!

You can also bring a watering can if u want to use thralls amd still have a safety net for the flame wall. This is something i learned recently and it blew my mind
@WildMudkip Жыл бұрын
Gricoller's can works too. Wouldn't recommend using thralls when learning though since you're sacrificing 2 inv spots for the book and watering can. Usually when learning people bring minimal switches so generally 2 extra switches would be more dps than the .625 you get from thralls. Plus not having to use as many restores to continually summon them throughout the raid. And with everything going on especially at olm, having to summon thralls throughout the fight just adds 1 more thing to worry about

when you 0-0 and olm moves to middle, you can stay in cycle but it will just be one 4:2 and instantly go back to the 4:1. You dont gotta do that fancy stuff to skip that one auto

If you have 2 hammers for the final phase you can double hammer run mid till olms head turns to the middle and 4:1 is insta set up
@WildMudkip Жыл бұрын
I'm aware, that's what every guide on youtube shows so I think it's good to have an option that doesn't require you to tank an auto at the start. Although I shouldn't have even brought it up in the first place because this guide is meant to be a lot more basic than that and people looking up how to do 4:1 for the first time might get confused and overloaded with extra information
@PhiSigmaKappa1 Жыл бұрын
30 kc in, the information @16:50 is completely new to me and I really appreciate you passing that on. Jumping straight into the 4:1 whilst getting 2 hammer specs in will be super nice and should save me a fair bit of supplies. Thanks boss!

As a learner should I just bring like 3 Stams? I wasted a ton of time in 1:0 trying to get back into 4:1 and ended up gassing. Walking olm just becomes a brew chugging contest.
@WildMudkip Жыл бұрын
Yeah not bad a idea to do a couple olms doing 1:0 melee the whole time with some extra stam. Theoretically if you do 1:0 melee and 3:0 mage right, the only damage you would take the whole fight is at the final head phase

Still working slowly on my way to respectable combat stats (only 80atk/82str/70def/77range/79mage) but once I get them up, I hear entry ToA is the best raid to start learning both raids and solos right?
@WildMudkip Жыл бұрын
Yeah because of the toa invocation system you can slowly add more difficulty and adjust it an endless amount of ways. Versus cox/tob which only have 2-3 preset modes

If you are iron with no dhl but a fang and want to send solos for the first time, would 1:0 be a good strat to use? I tried 3:1 solo like you would with a scythe and although I got the kc, I died 3 times and it was almost all because of my confusion with setting up 3:1.
@WildMudkip Жыл бұрын
Yeah that would be good to practice 1:0 which will help you with learning how to time olms head movement. You wouldn't want to grind out raids long term doing 1:0, but it's a valuable skill to master. You'll just need more stamina if you're doing it for the whole fight

@WildMudkip Жыл бұрын
Like I said right at the start at 0:22 the point of this video is to show the process I went through to learn solo raids. And as I said at the end at 19:09 I encourage people to watch a bunch of olm guides and use the cumulative knowledge to figure out a strategy they think works for them. To not provide my unique experience how I learned to solo, and instead just copy all the other olm guides, would be disingenuous and defeat the point of making this video, don't you think? Everyone learns in a different way and I think the more variety there is across youtube the better. There's many comments on this video saying it helped them learn how to do olm. Even if this guide doesn't work for some people, there is a group of people that it has helped because they haven't seen a perspective like this on youtube before
@Sadboyclique Жыл бұрын
