The fact that Fred was built from two scrapped Diesels adds an element of morbidity to this story.

@mastertrams
@mastertrams 2 жыл бұрын
@@tanyipan3554 Of course it could be, but it is a timed connection, and usually in the timetabling industry, we only do that if a large proportion of passengers on one train want to change for another. I very much doubt it was NWR passengers wanting to board the SKR train, hence why I'm assuming a large proportion of the people who crowded round Fred missed their connection, especially as it shows Bear leaving in the background.

I find it interesting that Fred is always painted as sickly or unreliable, the complete opposite of his basis. Alf, on the Talyllyn, is know for being extremely reliable, never playing up, and just always being there ready for whatever's needed.

Kind of disappointed the reunion between Atlas and the MSR engines weren't illustrated much... Love the references though, Carlin, TUGS, the LITTLE ENGINE THAT COULD practically killed me! It was the only intelligent locomotive story I could stand watching aside from RWS! Again, can't believe it's another month until such a masterpiece!

This episode, so far, is my favorite episode of this season. Not just because I was in it, but because of the character development you gave Fred, the reason why he pretended to be ill in the first place, and how he overcame his fear of straining himself because of hard work. And it was really nice to see Atlas in his full Skarloey livery, as he truly begins work on the Skarloey Railway for the first time. Well done, Wildnorwester. I am honored to have worked with you. :)

I've been a fan on the Thomas based genre since I was 5. I developed a keen passion for stationary engines at age 10. Now 20 years later, I've just made the connection as to why "Rusty" is his name... you would've thought I had made the Ruston-Hornsby diesel engines connection years ago...

Dan, you never cease to surprise us. I can't really say much here today because I've got a party to go to later, but the characterisation of everyone was amazing. As a sidenote, I'm surprised at how many engines you fit into a single episode: Sir Handel, Rusty, Skarloey, Rheanes, Ivo Hugh, Duke, Fred, Atlas and Duncan. That's nearly the whole SkR crew!

Another fine installment. It's great to see Fred being fleshed out as a character as opposed to being randomly mentioned in 'New little Engine' and bam, never seen or even mentioned again. Quite chuffed to have been part of the voice cast, not to mention a well rounded plot. I think something similar once happened on the Talyllyn now that I think of it :) On a side note the detail on the models is outstanding, particularly with Fred nd Duncan. Makes me want to get TANE for the sole purpose of your modelling works :)

A very Excellent episode and batch of episodes from start to finish~ I must admit, I never knew much about Fred, but after seeing this episode, I am quite curious. Plus too, I could relate to the episodes message about confidence, I suffer from a lack of self confidence at times, mainly in Motor way travel, I would feel very sick if I would ever have to use them, not because I am actually sick, but only out of fear that something would happen at those high speeds. Much like how Fred did not have the confidence to take the train due to not wanting to strain his engine. But, I do believe, much like Fred, all I need is a bit of confidence to take on what we are afraid to do. keep up the grand work~ ^W^

Definitely have to say, I was rather surprised that you didn't give Atlas buffers and a cab, the cab certainly would give his driver better protection from the elements, and the buffers also seem like a bit of a requirement on the Skarloey Railway. I can understand why Duke doesn't have buffers, as his frame and buffer beams are too thin to have them, but I do think Atlas's beams can be widened to accommodate them. Either way, it really makes a nice change to see Atlas working on the Skarloey Railway instead of some alternatives like being sent away from the island or scrapped.

Great episode. My only complaint is that during the second half of the video, Rusty's voice sounded muffled and it was hard to understand what he was saying.

What's the question?
@bobyqwert1thesecondlaste230
@bobyqwert1thesecondlaste230 6 жыл бұрын
WildNorWester it's a three parter question. number one what inspired you to do this series including Sodor the early years. number 2 why don't you include TV series characters and number 3. what happened to those characters that are in your Series in Sodor the early years
@WildNorWester
@WildNorWester 6 жыл бұрын
Strangely, the answers to parts one and two are the same. When I started, it was during the badly-written seasons 11-16 of the TV series. I caught one of the CGI episodes, and couldn't believe that this was the same series I'd grown up with. So I started making my own, with the stuff I wanted to see. I'm not sure what you mean by the third part of the question.

WildNorWester like what happened to Alfred and the rest of those characters in sodor the early years that aren't in sodor the modern years, I think one of those diesels was called Shawn, I never really watch a lot of episodes of sodor the early years, except the episode which Alfred and Gordon switched colors and Barry the rescue engine, but bedsides that its hard to tell,the on!y reason I know adout Shawn is because I started watching an episode Ware Alfred derailed on the point😕

Various fates. Alfred is on the Bluebell Railway, and Shane is still working on the Other Railway. He was only introduced for the Modern Years, and appears again in the episode 'Caden'.
