The new tbi and the previous tpi bikes are almost like cheating ah. They are just sooooo good now. I love that gear selection is almost not important anymore they seem to just pull no matter what gear you are in. You should try the tubliss system. They are brilliant for preventing pinch flats and work well when traction is low as you can go right down to 1-2psi or just run your normal factory pressures if you want. Is that track you were riding at Taikorea down Foxton ways?

The people complaining about the power and happiness are also the guy that use a rekluse auto and put a left hand rear brake plus a flywheel weight and Michelin extreme gummy with drilled mouse. Wide plush seat and turn the compression to full soft on their bikes. I have been on the trail with those guys. Spend 10k setting up a bike to make just put it in second or 3rd gear never change the whole ride and make the auto clutch do the work. They bypass the hard areas and don’t ride in mud. Too hard on the bike they say. Yes I have met these people. I buy their bikes from them because they haven’t been rode hard and you get a box of new and old parts with them because they put new pistons in at like 50 hours and new tires as soon as the sharp edge is gone. And they buy new bikes at a minimum of every two years but usually every year.

Nice video. I’m like you considering upgrading from a 22 EX 300. I tested the new EX 250 and really liked the motor but especially the fork. I had a spring conversion done (not full closed cartridge). It was a bit better than the air fork but I recall really liking the new fork on the EX 250. What do you think of the suspension?
@WildNZ2 ай бұрын
Definitely worth it! I had a 6500 conversion done on my 22 EX250 and it was awesome but I do think I like the suspension on this a little bit better. That might be because it’s a little more plush from stock then my 6500 kit was. But yeah the new stock closed cartridge forks are awesome!

What's the difference between this and the 24? Also, is there much difference between the xc, and the sx?
@WildNZАй бұрын
@@Billy-burner The 25 got adjustments to the frame and swing arm to make the bike more forgiving. It’s otherwise exactly the same just a little bit more comfortable. The SX is a moto bike so has close ratio gearbox, smaller tank, 19” rear wheel etc where as the XC is a off-road race bike so has a wide ratio gearbox, larger tank, 18” rear wheel etc.

The reason you get a light weight tube is because it offers the best handling / bump response and steering feedback by far. Anything else is single purpose at the expense of all the above. To lower the chance for flats. That's it.

@@WildNZ I run (regular) tubes not necessarily lightweight tubes and don't flat any more than people who run (Tubeliss) as a matter of fact that system is expensive, complicated and not that reliable.
