I really like this channel. I turned my father on to the channel too. He's actually taking my son to the southwest tomorrow to see some of the country we read and hear so much about. Next time I'll go too. I've out west a few times but never saw Texas or Arizona. Thanks for another good one. I enjoyed the change and I'll check the other channel out.

Thank you so much for very precious video. I’ve just known about Commodore Perry Owen few weeks ago at the museum of Holbrook. I was so impressed what he did it then went to see the Blevins house(still there but using for the senior center now) right after. Since that then I was looking at internet and KZbin video to try to find more stories about him and I knew his saloon and residence home are still in Seligman, his grave is in Flagstaff. So I made plan to visit there today so exciting. Before I left my house I just looked at the KZbin and I found your video about him this morning! Wow,it was soooo amazing to me and so happy!!! I watched it immediately and listening again and again during the driving ! It was really wonderful trip to see his historical places and now he became my hero much more than before! And you made my day too! Thank you so much! I hope more and more people get to know about him and what he did it for the people.

The Tewksbury (?) Graham Feud as we studied it in jr high and high school here in East Texas in the 1970s. Being cattle country here, the sheep and cattle wars were taught as history subjects. We also had our share of bad men around at any given time; Sam Bass. Cullen Baker. The whole damn Regulator/Modulator war crew! This was one of the longest running and deadly feuds.

Would love for the bloody beaver podcast to cover Charlie Utter. Charlie’s family and living relatives have been lost to history. There’s been a long standing rumor in my family as well as written facts about the utter family in my Grandmas books. My Grandmas maiden name was Utter and her family originated in upstate New York and then moved to central Illinois exactly like Charlie Utter did. I’ve been working with a genealogist to back track our family and connect the dots and he is extremely confident that we are Charlie’s living relatives.

Some of this brings a bell with me, my great grandfather Houston samples, was not a nice man, , well he had made a deal with my grandmother David earl samples, his third son, that if he could bring the crops in by himself my great grandfather would buy him a horse that he wanted, my grandfather did indeed bring in the crops that year and my great grandfather reneged on the deal, and because of that my grandfather left home at 13 and went to live with the Indians, and could talk pretty good Indian, ( not sure which tribe), from there on life was fairly uneventful, my grandfather was born in 1906, but it makes me wonder, what would have happened if he had been born 50 or even just 25 years earlier, he was good with a gun, and hard as nails, and his story starts out like so many other men who turned left when. Other men turned right, of course well never know, but it dose make me wonder sometimes

Owens came upon the mormon, Lot Smith at a crossing of the Little Colorado River. Smith, who was standing beside his drinking horse, drew his rifle, placed it across the saddle, and called out to Owens to keep his distance. Owens made a big semi-circle as Smith turned the horse to keep it between him and Owens. When Owens got to town, the people asked if he had not seen Smith. Owens said he had seen him. The people asked if Owens did not have a warrant for Smith's arrest. Owens patted his pocket, and replied, "Right here." The people then asked why Owens had not arrested Smith. Owens' reply: "Well, I figured if I tried to arrest him, one of two damn good men would have been killed, and I wasn't sure which one." See Lot Smith, Mormon Pioneer, American Frontiersman, by Smith and Hooper.

Hey Narrator- you said this perry guy had a large family-- so your very next statement should have been exactly how many brothers and sisters there were.. But no- you babble on for paragraphs about older brothers and sisters and younger brothers and sisters--.. The POINT is when you make a clearly definitive statement you should then be specific. That way you have a point to make and are of some interest. I'm going to leave now and go somewhere else! best Bruce Peek
